Tbh there should be some minor overhauls to the plants and contestants (If there isnt already) because they are known to crash the player in there vanilla state when played.

ok yeah i hear what you saying it would be a pain to do and i quess you wouldnt want to make a faction mod when you where making Cvar mod so yeah i hear you loud and clear.

@SunaLova Yeah I could have done that but it would have been a hell lot more annoying. Besides, it'd be changing from a Cvar mod to a Faction mod, which isn't really what I wanted (although my mod is tagged as faction by the workshop)

you should try to make a mod that adds a playable faction closely related to the factions in the mod , like make something with closely the same blocks and looks then you will be able to work around that problem , although it might take a while.

@SunaLova I had tried that, and for some reason it didn't fix the issue. Since the factions are already embedded in the base game, I don't think I can work around it

Sfro, you may need to set the files to reference the base factions unlocked, my console is bringing put 5 errors that state the mod is a duplicate of those 4 factions

As written below I can't do anything about it, the problem doesn't come from the mod, it comes from the gamecode itself ... If it really bothers you you should post a thread on the official forums or send a message to the dev regarding it

Okay, I'm not sure what to do. The game consistently crashes when I try to change ships on Faction 13. When I look at the mod in the mad manager, it says, "View 5 Errors" about duplicates or something. I'm not sure what it means, but could someone please help me with it? I love this mod to bits, but if I can't make my own ships, what's the point?

Maybe that will be the only change that Sfro makes besides the playability. XD

If you do decide put a factory into the Borg faction, I recommend Faction 4's Factory (Stat changes to even it to be equal other blocks that the Borg have of course.).

Okay im not unsubscribing because i love the mod but i dont like crashing everytime i finish a cool ship in build mode with the plant faction please fix this idk if my computer just sucks or if the mod those (sorry bout dat) i lov your work for this game keep it up just fix that please! :D

If it still doesn't work after that, there's nothing I can do, the problem comes from the game, and not my mod :/
However, since more than 1 person encountered it, if it still presists, I'll see on the forums if the dev can do smthg about it :squirtyay:

@donutface Nope I can't ! I discussed thoroughly with Llavexas, and it turns out you can probably just fix the problem by just uninstalling/reinstalling the game, and the mod after that

I subscribed to this mod (the first and only mod I've so far got to this game) Started playing as Contestant but my game crashes when I enter the "child spawn order" (when I managed to get the factory). Is this just me or someone else experience it?

Nice idea but for example the Borg are not playable in a long run. They don't use all aspects of the other playable races and so you don't have the full potential out of this race. So it is a nice feature trying out some new races.

Check if you have any other mods installed, try desactivating them to see if it works, then try desactivating my mod and go kill some spikey plants on a new save. If it still does it when you desactivated everything, post on the official website's forums your issue

Plants only grow on asteroids, but ships regrow normally
