So you need to have Linux for the map to work or will it work on Mac and Windows too?

Thanks for the fix. How did you solve the issue? I don't have much knowledge of the source engine, but I assume that the issue could be found by checking error logs. I tried to find the logs, but I was too stubborn to google search the directory their located in.
