That was really good. I really liked the different design and puzzles from most other maps. The surprise ending was cool. :steamthumbsup:

The waterfall is nice, but I wouldn't call it epic. It's a nice detail at most.


It's also not a vending machine, despite what that one person once thought.

Very nice map, well made and lit. For some reason I didn't get the Rating Screen at the end. I enjoyed the map immensely, sorry you guys are moving on. Thanks for your contributions to the Portal Universe in general, if nothing else the finality of that last door closing portends the end of an era where ALLOS and UltiMan Nine-Seven-Eleven are concerned. Hm I get what you're coming from, I was never there when portal 2 was in its golden days so I'm not familiar with the maps and mods that came out back then. Regardeless I still believe there is potential in the maps that are being published, the pti maps are indeed a bit boring after a while but there are still many hammer-ers that do a great job at making something different.

well I mean like look around, dude. Portal 2 mapping is far past its Golden Age, and there comes a point in time when everything is gray. Nothing new, nothing blue, nothing to quell the thirst for more. And with rare exception, not much deviates from the Portal 2 official chamber themes, and a lot of the time those that do not follow look terrible. It's incredibly creatively choked, and the PTI quickened the burnout time for custom Portal 2 content. Portal 1 had a nice steady burn for mods and maps . . . Portal 2 was a bright flash and then silence.

Basically. I mean, a good number of people are still playing it, yeah. But the quality of the maps being frontpaged on the workshop is sort of dying a bit aside from the rare still-remaining good mappers posting, like DaMaGepy and Seji-Evan. Unlike other Source games like Garry's Mod, there's not as much potential on variability for Portal 2 maps; it's more geared towards its puzzle-platformer nature, and can't break free of that as much as Half-Life 2 did to become Garry's Mod.
