There are bakelite mags for 7.62x39 aswell. I have one for my AK and it's made by Tula, so I'd say it's pretty legit.

The magazines are 100% correct. Many plastic mags for the 7.62 AKs have been manufactured, and this particular one has a noticeable curve unlike the straighter 5.45 mags of the AK-74.
It's true they're not very common in the military today, but that's mainly because the 5.45 round is preferred by regular armies, at least that's the case for Russia. This rifle isn't your average standard-issue firearm anyway hehe.
