Version Three is ready guys it's actually has some pretty big changes and features added. I found a way to fix cubemaps so reflections should not be pink & black no more. It's going to be released tomorrow around 12 pm mountain time

Go to the mountain and get in to the Lava and you'll go to the secret room

There is a bug in Garry's Mod where I can't buildcubemaps so with a lot of people they get the pink &black reflections, at the moment use mat_specular 0 in console to remove the reflections

for me, the reflections are all missing textures, what game am i missing i have all of the half life games, Portal, Team Fortress 2, and CounterStrike: Source all mounted to Gmod

Does this really have A.I. nodes, specifically for the Hunter-Chopper and the gunship, cause every time a map say's it has that, it doesn't.

the mat_specular 0 command works and I really don't mind typing it in because the only thing i'm worried about right now is finding all of the secrets. :physgun:

I'm not sure if I'm going to beable to fix these reflection bugs in this version, I've done some browsing and haven't really found any solutions on why this is happening other than building the cubemaps but they refuse to build for some reason. So for now anyone getting the reflection bug use mat_specular 0 in console for now

Alright thanks for the info I'll try and get it fixed for the 3rd time and hopefully 3 times the charm. For now use mat_specular 0 in console to remove the reflection texture

its set to 95 and I got directx 11 still see missing textures on reflections

Are you running GMOD in a certain directx level? I know running it in DX8 really causes issues

yea i've seen reflection problems before and I just walked into one of the buildings its definetly reflections.

I think its a reflection problem if it was a texture problem, I think there would be a lot more than just the buildings and rocks.

*Sigh* I think Garry's Mods compiling tools are bugged with reflections then.

Okay to anyone getting pink & black reflection texture type mat_specular 0 in console, if it's actual textures do a verify integrity of game cache in the game properties in steam

Thanks for that mat_specualar 0 command! Really saves some time and it actually works! You just gotta wait 45 seconds at most for it to work.

Okay some good stuff I fixed non HDR lighting so its working perfectly now and I might of fixed the reflections being pink & black I will get the update out real soon!

HDR is High Dynamic Range you can turn it on in your Video Settings it makes lighting a little more realistic. At the moment I'm trying to fix the issues with reflections and full bright LDR for now anyone with pink & black reflections set mat_specular to 0 in console and see if that fixes it

Why is everyone missing textures? I'd never used anything else but gmod and hl2 content.

Only thing I can say is to do a verify integrity of game cache to gmod

Missing textrue glaore, I got Ep1, Ep2, Css, and hl2, why am i getting missing textrues?
