While I like the intention of the map, it feels unrefined with trees overlapping into the ocean and rough strokes visible on the minimap

Do you mean how to play the maps? You would press new game and workshop. From there you will see downloaded maps.

Im quite sure there is fishing spots in inner parts of the island. But if not then i will add some.

@MrBloodWorth, to make a map mostly covered with water, select a "custom map" built through the generator since these have fewer rocks. Then leave pressed the tool which allows you to copy a land form and start from the deep ocean into the main land, covered slowly the whole map in water except the small portions you want to leave.

You better have the Waterborne DLC if you hope to anywhere on this map.

A really great map!
Roads get a little annoying for somebody that prefers to build in squeres.
A tiny nearly to small to play on had it not been for the Gold Iron and Coal diposits.
Overall fun and challenging.
11/10 would download again
