@jtallman13b It looks like a lot of information and a lot of hoops but it actually takes like 2 seconds to do.

this mod is beyond pointless. its a datapad, that does the same thing as console commands, but you have to jump through like 9 extra hoops messing with .ini files to get it to "work" and then, when you finally do, it conflicts with LITERALLY ANY MOD WORTH USING!!!" There is exactly zero reason to download this. Unless you want all the benefits of console commands (something you can already do) with the drawbacks of not having any good mods whatsoever.

Per Lythar's comment here: "Turns out the game was trying to load the mods in the wrong order, swapping that via the Workshop tab in the game's properties by using the advanced option of "Find Best Load Order" fixed it immediately."

This worked for me flawlessly. Anyone else having problems with the mod, I encourage you to try the same thing. I just love my Hak Pad, and I'd hate to be without it. Thanks Lythar!

What do you know, complain and it fixes itself. Turns out the game was trying to load the mods in the wrong order, swapping that via the Workshop tab in the game's properties by using the advanced option of "Find Best Load Order" fixed it immediately.

I was having an issue and ended up having to uninstall and reinstall both the game, and this mod, some twenty times. The only mods I have active are this, and TSLRCM, and nothing else. And yet the hakpad is consistently listed as "this item is not a usable or equippable item", no matter how many fixes I try. Is there something I'm missing?

KOTOR fans i bring dire news after many trys i have found certain mods that break TSLRCM and hak pad when used together sadly these mods are exteremly good and the choice of whether the are worth the secrfice are up to each and every one of you: Better Stocks, Faster Vitality Regeneration Outside Combat, Effixian's Female Underwear. Kinrath egg bash, Mira Romance, Visas Lightsaber drop. My memory isnt really good so i might have missed a few.

I feel like I've tried everything to get this to work and it's just not happening. I have it in my misc but it doesn't show up on the bar at the bottom left anywhere, I'm on Telos.

i got the item but cant put it in my bottom left bar. it dont show up nor can i click on it them the items list. Cant use it at all.

is the ityping of giveitem should have giveitem hak_pad space in between item and hak?

An alternative way to get this mod to work is to download the restored content mod from deadly stream then download this. Just tried that and it worked.

If nothing else works, try turning off TSLRCM. That actually worked for me. Then when I turned it back on, (I'm using the combined TSLRCM + M4-78EP 'English' version) it worked.

Reporting that it worked after some issues

1 I´m using the combo version of TSLRCM and ME78EP
2 I did the console thing (I set my keyboard to US to be sure the key under ESC was the right key ~
3 Console in KOTOR2 is invisible so press the open key and then press W to see if you walk forward, if not then the console is open (so press backspace a few times to delete any W that would have appeared)
4 Command is giveitem hak_pad, press enter. Then press esc or ~ to turn off the console again and then the hak pad should be in your inventory. Great.
5 It is supposed to appear on the quick slots where the armbands are, but for me it didn´t. The way I eventually got it working was to unsubscribe to hakpad and then run the game and quit (don't load or save just triggering steam to verify the mod situation)
6 Subscribe to Hakpad again and start the game. Then once I loaded my game with the hakpad added it was now available in the armband quick menu on the bottom left.

I don't know who this will help, but I got the Unusable Grenade issue, so I decided to use the Nexus version and Save Editor, and so far it's working fine

Hey for this mod I’ve added it to my inventory, used it before on another pc but its saying this is not a usable item each time I attempt to use it, what am I doing wrong here?

Is this compatible with the combined TSLRCM and the robot planet? Or just the mod without the planet? I've got the combined mod and want to confirm that's why I can't get this to work.

I typed it exactly how it is giveitem hak_pad and it shows up as an unusable grenade. I'm done reading comments and trying to make work. Unsubscribed and disliked.

if you're getting a broken item or it doesn't appear under your usable misc items on your Action bar then you've typed the command wrong.

Quick method to file location
1. Go to your start menu, select run.

2. Paste No.3 in the dialogue box - it will take you to the right folder:

3. C:/program files/lucasarts/swkotor2

4. Click OK (skip to step 3 of the alternate method if you did this method)

Alternate method

1. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II
2. open swkotor2
3. scroll down to game options
4. add EnableCheats=1 to the game options section
5. Go to File then Save.

Mod Confliction note/ Installing the Mod
This mod Conflicts with The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod (TSLRCM)
1.To Fix the Conflict simply unsubscribe to both mods
2.Start up your game then close your game (so the Files can reorganise themselves)
3.Then subscribe to TSLRCM and wait for the workshop content to install
4.Then Subscribe To Hak_Pad mod
5.Start up your game then close your game (files need to reorganise again.)
6.Then start your game and Enjoy it.

@trilvill You're either typing giveitem hak?pad/hack_pad or Hak_Pad...

Try typing it as hak_pad (all lowercase letters, no caps)

Failing that, Try
1.saving your game then quit,
2. Unsubbing from the mod then Load up your saved game game.
3. Saving your game, then quit.
4. Subbing again, then loading up your game.

this normally only happens when you've typed it wrong though.

I tried to find said mod file or "ini.file" and i could not find it in any of my Gaming pc's system files. is this mod a fluke??? or does this mean that this mod only works without the Restored Content mod? im gonna try it next time without the mod and see if i can access it.

@radekxpl if you're using language mods i think that's what causes that problem, idk though.

This mod is... working kind of. It opens an empty UI, but if I double tap '1' it opens the workbench, so the option is there, just not visible. Can sb please post all input options for those with the same problem? Like "Item store: 6 - 1 - 1"

I'd ask if you were gonna add like an influence modifier to this, but seeing how old this mod is, that's not lookin likely.

@Cyberelf999 This happens when you've typed hak_pad into the console incorrectly, you've typed hak?pad or hak-pad instead of hak_pad , it's possible that Capitalising the H and P also causes this problem, idk why though just basing this off player feedback.

Everytime i quit my game then re-launch it and load into my save file it says this item isnt usable or equippable how do i fix?

hey everyone i just figured it out when typing out the comand use the shift key when typyng the dash and that will fix the issue of the unkown grenade

I made a whole disorganised Discussion page to try and help people haha, Double Check your keybinding too, Just incase you typed hak?Pad instead of hak_pad , make sure it's all in lower case too because capitalising the H and P is known to cause it just be an unusable misc item, i'm not savvy enough to know why it does that though.

@simeon369 It did reappear into my misc but I could not use it. I plan to do another playthrough and I hope your guidance will help, thank you.
