is it possible to have the houses upgrade when you advance to a new age? like at each age they change their look to something that suits the age. Such as the first 2 ages have small peasant houses then as you progress through the ages the buildings get more modern.

I'd like to see classic RTS population growth system in RoN, when each house gives +n number of population. Just... Cities look realy empty, and they dont feel like cities, so It could be better to make something like in Empire Earth 2 (when each city can support a limited number of houses). Anyways city battles are extremely tough and stupid so houses wont make it worse than now.

I do not know if it is a good idea, but you should make it so that you get wealth by placing these buildings.

You should make that for every civilian building the civilian training process is 3% faster, only applyes to city with the buildings

Hardcoding. That one thing that kills replayability to an extent. Would have killed to see someone with uber skill add in like 5 extra ages into the space age. Oh well.

Regarding the CtW resources in a normal match:
You can try to add them in the mapstyles/default.xml but even if that works there is no artwork for those resources. (I couldn't find any)

Regarding the nation bonuses:
I haven't really tried this myself but as far as I have seen it is not possible to add new nation bonuses. My guess was that these bonuses might be hardcoded into the game and you can only modify the values.

I've sifted through nearly every file on this game trying to figure out why I can't add bonuses to other nations, copy and paste them and just change names like "Russian" on a Russian bonus, to "Romans" to make it a copy and pasted Roman bonus. My guess was that there's a second file that confirms the bonuses, because I removed the American bonuses altogether from the game, and I knew that they had been removed, because the science discount was gone, but- for some reason, the Americans still started with one science level. Which only further encouraged my guess that a second file in the directory somewhere exists that overrides attempted modifications.

(Cont'd) Say... you seem to know how to add buildings and such, would it at all be possible to take the resources from the CtW campaigns and put them in a normal match? The only snag I could see with that is A- The Graphics for the actual resources like Cattle or Olive Oil, and B- The Coding to make them spawn in. But the second one seems like it could just be solved by copying and pasting some code from the others? I don't know. Maybe I sound dumb when I say this.

As far as I know it is not possible to add population bonuses to regular buildings. There is the Colossus but that's a special building.
But I really like your idea and would love to add this :)

Why not add population bonuses? Each house, or apartment officers a 1% increase to your population, and you can only have 3 each per city. For the Office buildings, maybe those can do the same thing that the American barracks units do, and add a 2% or 3% income bonus for every one of them on your nation. (3 per city). The Monument? Maybe have that to increase the Wealth or Knowledge that the city produces.

The upgrade idea sounds really nice, but I'm not sure if it can be done.
It is possible to add the huts/houses in the earlier game and "exchange" them at some point with the office/apartment buildings, but this only seems to be possible with an additional script and that's something I don't really want to do.
My idea was to add additional buildings and still have the possibility to use a script.

Why you just make mod where there is huts/houses on earlier game (medieval etc) then they just later phase upgrade as apartments etc? Or is it just too difficult make ?

Hey, yes this is a known issue at the moment.
The three buildings in the economy category can only be build by certain nations (see description).
I tried to hide them when playing with nations that can't build them but apparently it is not that easy to fix. Still thinking about a solution though :)

Flir, I was able to build the Offices, and the Apt Buildings, but the three or four units on the First Screen were Greyed Out. It got the part that said Build, But they would not Click. I did reach the age for them. Any Known Problems with that? Thanks.

Yes you are right...
Basically these buildings already exist in the game, they just can't be build in regular matches.
This mod changes that and makes building cities a bit more fun :)

I know you got them straight out of the Scenario Editor....but i guess getting to build them to enhance cities anytime is nice :-)
