Yeah XCom is one of my alltime favorites since the first One in the early '94. Had this One on PS3 but couldn't resist to buy it again on steam now.

But this third Connector has no connection to the Stations Pipe Network, all Item Transfer should be managed through throwing out your stuff and collecting the stuff from the Station. If you want a direct connection to Drag and Drop Stuff you should use the Connector on the Landing Pad or Add some "normal" docking Ports wherever you want to.
