So I would like to see more consistency, I do use recommended settings. All in all, I experience no crashes and the strategies can be versatile and the AI does creat counters.
Thanks for your effort, I do enjoy playing with this AI!
can you try to debug to check this?
to replicate:
1. create a standard game
2. set a treathy lenght
3. start the match with (you, normal ai and the brute force ai)
4. try to build a house within the protected area
5. game crash
I feel BruteForceHD is weaker than BruteForce but it's been awhile since I played with/against them. The last update for BruteForce was in 2017. If there is a demand for BruteForce updates I would make them but I would probably start the AI again from the ground up so it's cleaner to work with.
Check BruteForce in chat
Type 200 and press Enter
Chaos Mode should be enabled.
* 200: Enables cheating on Hard difficulty (HD only) On Hardest, allows you to enable Chaos Mode. <--- it allows me to enable chaos mode but there is nowhere written HOW :(
The issues I think are mostly from things missing in the base game, like features which were in the user patch but not in the HD version.
What I'm hoping is that with the DE version coming up those things will finally be fixed and implemented, and that we'll see a resurgance in AI development for AoE2.
But I'm hoping that's not just a dream...
But BruteforceHD is broken and uselessly weak as a result, too bad.
Very far behind Resonances22's AI.
