Could you make a version without limit for black ship and nanban trade ship?

Thanks a lot for this mod! Was dying to match steamships against the older vessels.

What's it called in the mod manager? I can't seem to find it.

How does it work?

I selected shogun 2 clans, and unsubbed and uninstalled the mod but now I cannot play with FOTS ships cause it crashes.

i am not unsubscribing this mod but whenever i chose the "Bakumatsu era Navy" my game suddenly crashed,, but thanks god somehow these problem disappear now by itself, anyway i appreciate your work :)

Read the warning in all caps in the description. Subscribe and activate the mod again. Launch the game, go to naval battle, return the faction selection to normal clans, play a normal naval battle using normal unit, exit, empty the selection, go out. Only then, you can unsubscribe.

Or, go straight to C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun 2 and delete "battle_preferences"

this mod ruin my game, now i cant open custom battle anymore, or is theres anyway to fix this???

There is no Black Ship in the Sengoku arsenal. Other than that, it's great mod. I have been looking for this ever since.

any chance u can incorporate the fots samurai naval ships into shogun baseline, the box ships take way to long. and virtually put me to sleep

1. Subscribe again
2. Go to Custom Battles
3. Clear the unit selection and factions from any naval unit.
4. Exit
5. Unsubscribe.

I think I one time got this and.. it crashes every time I put it to naval battle in custom battle.

What I like most about it: besides the key feature of enabling modern vs. feudal sea battles, you could also just fight a "traditional" custom sea battle involving the nanban ships as well as the other ships. Most mods that enable the black ship are horrible cheat mods, which turn even trade ships into overpowered star destroyers. If I want to reproduce a fight from the campaign (capturing the black ship with a small fleet eg.), then this is my mod! Nice work! Only downside is that it can be frustrating to deactivate it properly.

This is awesome, I've always wanted to be able to pit the ships of difference eras against each other and was rather vexed when it became obivous that standard unmoded options didn't allow it despite letting land units from different eras clash. That much said you have my thanks for this, works like a dream.

Try to unsubscribe first, then try playing Custom Battle without this mod to test whether it is this exact mod that cause the crashing

yea...i try to play but ut crashed me to desctop...any idea?

I looked and found it. I thought it was a way to play against the actualy FOTS navies.

So there is no Bakumatsu Era Navy in clan selection?
Have both FoTS and S2?

Remember, do not select a FoTS Clan first, won't work. You have to select a RoTS/S2 Clan OR Bakumatsu Era Navy.

by the way, why not make FOTS land units into a shogun 2 faction and see how the campaign play out too?

It doesn't work. I go to custom battles and there is no ability to have either shogun 2 or FOTS factions play together in naval battles.

Go to C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun2\battle_preferences

(AppData is a hidden folder)

Then delete .sp_battle_setup.battle_preferences

Great mod! I tried the Kotetsu vs. about about 30 something Heavy Bunes and Nihon Marus. Of course it was an easy victory but was fun ramming into them and raking their decks with gatling gun fire!

Downloaded, worked fine. Got bored, uninstalled. Now custom battles makes the game crash. GG.

I killed 3, then I died. Do I win?

or something like that

I put the black ship up against a warrior, the black ship burst into flames and exploded. I then put the black ship against a torpedo boat, and the black ship burst into flames and exploded.

Does this mod work without any big fuss? I don't touch a mod like this unless it works.

Are there any other custom battle mods for Shogun 2? Maybe a unit unlocker, like there was for Empire?
