Read in the mod description how to setup 1940 war period.
Sounds like you did it non correctly.
You should select war period as a LAST STEP of the settings.
You will get late war equipment in case you change something after war period setup.

Try to create your own mod with several nations for GoH to check my opinion.
I don't have any time to support other nations.
I should finish nations that have been added already (during next 2 years).
Modding for GoH game is 2 x harder that MoW:AS2 modding.
