Hey guys! If you only want sounds for a specific weapon, open the vpk with gfscape, go into the sounds/weapons/mp5 folder, and copy-paste the sounds for that weapon into a directory in bms/custom/sound/weapons/mp5. you can hand-pick the sounds you want, for example i want the mp5 firing sound, but only that and nothing else. Copy "single1.wav", "single2.wav", "single3.wav" and "single_npc.wav" (the npc.wav makes HECU and Barneys' guns make the same sounds as yours) and there you have it!

Very nice! only issue is the gauss gun glitch as shown in video and the gluon gun could be improved, but otherwise the mod is excellent!

I really hope there's some sort of fix soon dude, the weakass weapon sounds were my least favorite part of Black Mesa and I jumped to see someone else had the same idea

@Mister 13 The MP5 is in the original Half Life, and it's in the original graphics (the non HD pack)
In the HD pack, it changes for an M4A1 as you know, actually, in the first trailer you can see what it appears to be a M4A1.

I really wish I could find an M4A1 replacement mod for the mp5 though to be honest. I like the MP5 but in a weird non classic, non original way.. I miss the M4A1 from half-life source.

Thanks for the upload of this mod. Even though some people aren't thankful or like to troll because they're bored. This is a cool mod and I'd like to use some of these sound effects. Just trying to figure out how to use some of the old ones, and some of the new combined.

Oh shit, sorry! I didnt replace files. I just remove the hitbod and hit object sounds anf reverted them into the default Black Mesa sounds. I did replace the swing miss sounds though.

Can't do it dude. It won't be possible due to the fact the soldier sounds were recorded in bunches in Half-Life 1, while the ones in Black Mesa are recorded in one big sound file. Sorry dude!
