Norse shall never learn english, Norse is better

legeis90: This mod is dead, since you can choose it in game rules now. There was a separate mod for localized council names.
dose it also get rid of localized council names?
Fulk: Well, this is now game rule, so Paradox is anti-Norse too I guess.
Fulk 2017
You made a mod that is slightly anti-Norse, you must have a deathwish.
Thank you for clarifying : )
I also auggest you add it to the description, as well as a link to your other "almost" related mod.
Thanks for helping make simpler naming available to us. = )

ImOnlyOneMan: I made separate mod for that http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=446436039 but it seems that method I was using doesn't work reliably any more in 2.6.x. I'll take another look at it later.
Tough its worth noting, titles and realm names are seperate things. Does this mod also alter cultural titles like doux and sultan?
Shuuchi: Yes, it deals with all of them at once.
Sleepless Homunculus 2016
Does this mod work for names in the east? Like, greek county/duchy names in sicily, altaic county/duchy/kingdom names in tartaria, slavic county/duchy names around the area between germany and poland etc.?
I laughed at the explanation why, but its still cool to have this option. It certainly makes it less confusing.

Nonjojålol: If they do, I'll mod it to medieval Latin.
Njã¥l 2016
Irrelevant? Don't let Paradox catch you with that or the entire game will be in Swedish.
Nonjojålol: Who cares about irrelevant languages like Swedish while names in relevant languages like French and German are all in English. What CK2 is doing with selective translation is totally ridiculous.
Uthred 2016
The mod is great, because it goes back to the old way in which Ck2, handled kingdom names.
Njã¥l 2016
Think about the education value.
Nonjojålol: There's way too many stupid names like that, not just one or two.
Njã¥l 2016
You have a hard time figuring out what names such as Norge and Danmark means?
THE BIBLE IS IN ENGLISH, OBVIOUSLY JESUS SPOKE ENGLISH
Uthred 2015

Uthred: It's updated now.
Uthred 2015
Thanks so much.
Uthred: Sure, I'll post an update soon.
Uthred 2015
Are you able to update this mod, please.

I love Anglish
Aevarr 2015
Nether Norwegian, Danish or Swedish were spoken in scandinavia during the time the game starts. during the the so called viking age all of scandinavia pretty much spoke the same language, a language usually refered to "Old Norse" or "The Danish Tonge" all the Scandy languages are evolved from this language, Icelandic is the only language that is still similar enough that an Icelander can still under stand it. And English, during the period of the game English wasn't even English, it was Old English, and Middle English, go find a text written in Old, or Middle English and see if you can understand it. English isn't a root language its a derived language its roots are from Gelic, Latin, French, Old Norse, Low German, and even some greek.

Jesus spoke English. American English. :-p
BIG WILLY 2015

Profile Name: If English was good enough for Jesus, it should be good enough for everyone. :-p

While we should appreciate diversity and should also try to use correct/fitting words for special concepts - like king, kaiser, etc. - I very much agree with the author that when you use localized titles and names then it should be applied to all cultures, not just a selection.
@taw: Maybe change the description, otherwise you'll probably have to deal with boatloads of comments like those below...
And thanks for sharing your mod. Peace,
BIG WILLY 2015
Swedish wasn't influenced yet under the ages of crusader kings 2. Also nordic people are noble folk. We speak english but we prefere our own much more supreme languages, LÄNGE LEVE SKANDINAVIEN
Princess Esper 2015
Anyway, i just came here to be do a silly comment :P cause im silly
Princess Esper 2015
well most Laungages stole from eachoter i would belive, Norwegian consist of Danish, Swedish and English infulence, history is very interesting, i know more then most i know of history, yet i know barly anything at all
Dashie: English stole from everyone equally. It just looked really weird when Norse names were in native language and every other name on the map was in English. Some other mods go the other way and localize everything instead.
Princess Esper 2015
hey, English is made of our Norwegian laungage to :P you stole the word window from our Norse anscestors xD
Uthred 2015
thanks
