Great, i constantly think game developers have chainmail allergy, only two armor sets in the game uses chainmail beneath the metal plates, and the rest leather... and fur... and bare skin...

Is there a way you can add Gaunlets with the same texture and boots of the same please. Other than that the mod is awesome.

Been trying out this mod more, and actually, the small rings look better than I initially thought. So you can forget what I asked earlier. Unless you've already start work on a retexture, in which case... Um, I don't really know what to say...

This was the only chainmail mod on the workshop with a coif/aventail. This makes my game have a more middle ages feel, I thank you extremly.

I love the simple shape of the armor, and the addition of hoods and coifs! The only thing I can complain about is the ring texture: the rings look too small. Looking at the vanilla guard's chainmail hauberks, each individual ring looks larger, giving the armor an overall rougher texture.

Otherwise, this mod works perfectly for me. Perhaps you could make a separate mod for a chainmail texture with larger rings? If it's not too much time, I mean.

someone here (the mod author) has lost a grip of reality regarding armour and weapons... clearly... There is not relation to reality whatsoever with chainmail shoulderplates?!?!?!? Like what.... And well the full chainmail model is just plain... ok not pretty... Having a hard time not critizising this too badly... I dislike... sorry

I like having less extreme armor for my characters to wear, this has become one of my favorite armor mods. I really don't care for the default steel armor, this chainmail looks great with the bandolier mod, and it matches well with any of the four armor types and even other armor mods. I only wish the game spawned more bandits / stormcloaks / random adventurers in this chainmail.

Good to see some of the bandits with the "Poorman's plate mail".....Needless to say only the Higher ranked bandiits would have Chain mail....its not the best armour like Plate meil and better but it''s definitely better than leather ( or NONE!).....Great nod!

Actually, I've got experience with real chain-mail armor, and going by that, these textures look fairly spot on, chainmail in real life does tend to appear kinda blobby at a distance, unless it's a large link pattern.

The fourth picture makes it look nice though

I'd get it if it didn't look so low textured. From the pictures it just looks like a blob.

Excellent mod I must say......it's about time Skyrim got the "poor man's ' Plate mail that any common bandit could afford (or most likely steal).....Mod installed without a ♥♥♥♥♥ and I took my PC on a short patrol of the Area around lakeview to see who should show up....saw a NPC at a bavdit camp and he looked a lil shiny....bandits arent shiny so this joore must have robbed some local and bought himself some mail hoping it would make him bolt proof,,,it didnt..

Looks good but your weights seem really low. A full suit of chainmail was like 30-40lbs. So maybe 15-20lbs for so skyrim.

personally this is one of the most immersive to real life mods ive seen in a long time... who needs fancy over-the-top hollywood when real life chainmail is so much simpler and actually functional in battle? kudos to you JZBai. now if only i could find a modder willing to make skyrim a stinky nasty place full of disease and filth just like real mideaval europe... then everything will be perfect.
