I love to play it dual handed with a sword, but i do not find a sword who match the blade texture and color of the dager...
Is it possile for you to make a viking sword (like Hufbert per exemple) with the same texture and color ??? xD

Dude, that`s an OUTSTANDING mod! As a historical weapons enthusiast I`ts hard to play the game without Your mod installed, alongside other fantastic mods with historical weapons.

Thx mate, they're not really accurate I'm aware, I made a compromise between design and realism.

These are some of the most historically accurate weapons i've seen for skyrim. (there are some details that could be improved but that doesn't matter) i'm just glad that someone took the time to make theses. And i'm happy to see that someone cared enough about historical accuracy to make a mod for skyrim. Cheers and thanks for a great mod!

There's a Quiver with a shield on top to give the illusion or you can use dual sheath redux, installation of the mod is a bit complicated but my mod has the files to work with it. It's over on the Nexus.

The zweihander is probably the best weapon i ever saw in skyrim and quite powerfull as well,very nice work man.

True, I figured it would be really buggy and exploited for both versions at the sword at once by players. Anyways I also forgot to mention before how I liked the mod, especialy the Ulfberth Sword.

What if I knew how to script :p
I think there's a mod that does that, but imo it would be pretty complicated to achieve this and probably really buggy, 1 handers are attached to the hip bone and 2 handers to the spine It would massively fuck up the sheathing animations. My solution would be to just make a two handed version of the sword and make it faster and hit harder (yes 2 handed = faster since it's the same sword)

What if you made a script that opens a menu when a certain button is pressed that gave the option to switch "Modes" of a weapon from a 1H to a 2H version. But I realized if you enchanted one version the other would be unenechanted or one legendary in quality while the other is plain. Unless you made the weapon unique of course. Just an idea I hope you like.

Thanx, I would love to have the 2H on the hip but sadly I haven't managed to get it to work.
It's the reason why the bastard sword is one handed.

Not to nit-pick (so far I love everything else about this mod) but for the sake of semi-historic authenticity you might want to consider having the Longsword (2h) sheathed and drawn from your hip. Awesome mod love it to death!

Maybe you didn't let the mod download fully, try letting the game update itself in the launch menu.

Haha it's even wrose when they get into debates about guns. They take whatever erroneous stats are listed in their favorite CoD clone as gospel. Unfortunately, it isn't just teens. :(

Yep people have all these misconceptions about what fighting or weapons and armor really looked/felt like and even understimated how advanced and skilled our ancestors were.
But you can't help modern "teenagers" from being insufferable know it alls :)

Oh, and fret not about the noobs who try to complain about weapon dimensions. I once had a guy scold me about my flanberge looking like "puffy clouds", and how that's not what they looked like. Then he posted a link to a modern sword some dude made in his garage. I had to post a link to the museum piece I used as a refernce lol. And then there was the dude who lamented on how ridiculous my main gauche looked before he actually did an image search and had to correct himself. :D

Oh yeah, Vikings is painful, historically speaking. A falcata, the burgonet helms, the ancient Greek shields... that list is pretty long lol. Then the mistakes made on the heavy reliance on Ibn Fadlan's writings.

And yes, I think you are correct with the vew that a lot of people understimate the amount of trade that went on throughout history. Different people traveled the globe. It's how we have Chinese anchors all along the coast of South America, mummies in Egypt who used cocaine while alive, stone engravings of marine iguanas found in a cave in the US and tartan wearing gingers buried in Mongolia. :)
