The asset isn't actually broken, it's just not optimited. But the LOD size is so high, the game thinks it's abnormal, aka broken. If you really need it, it's totally usuable; just ignore the error popup.

I subbed to this thinking "cool!" - did not read the comments..... and indeed, this asset is broken and causes the "LOD has too many vertices" message to pop up. So I had to unsub again.... For other reading this before subbing: Don't, this asset is broken.

We post not to insult but to fix.

I'm guessing that this is broken? I get the following when I try to open up map editor after adding this maod.

BTW... I see in the Content manager that this is classed as a Park?
I like that it can attract tourists but I'd love to place this outside the standard buildable squares in my starting map. Can this just be a plopable asset?

One final bug / issue .... for some reason this asset causes "water holes" as indicated by the screen shot below. I have verified this through a long process of elimination.

Also I have just noticed that the vertical road deck suspension cable closest to the main tower on one side of the bridge is missing .... and the mistake is mirrored at the other end at the other main tower .... so in essence there are two missing vertical road deck suspension cables.

Also it would be nice if the bridge didn't disappear from view when viewing from close in at certain angles.

@SwissCH can you please update this for Snowfall .... I'm getting the same broken asset error kokakifeur has mentioned.

When you zoom out to a certain distance and beyond the bridge is no longer visible.

this one is so much better then the new one. please make it work again...

So the bridge is no longer visible after a certain range since Snowfall, a pity for this beauty.

@Woody Bobo, you have to point just in center of it. It will light up 1x1 zone. A bit buggy but usable =)

Might be a dumb question but how do you delete it in-game? Bulldoze isnt working on it, unless my game is bugged.

Swiss .... great bridge .... I sent you a message some time ago about some bridge suggestions but I deleted the message accidently .... here's some of those bridge suggestions.

looks like something is wrong with the LODs at some close distances the bridge gets invisible

HEY swiss you probably dont have time to read this comment but i want you to know that you should update this to AD and you should also make the Brooklyn bridge because that would be awesome!

For all the Cimmers having trouble building with this asset. Add a road in the asset editor ;)

1.) Install the fine road heights mod
2.) Load the asset in the editor
3.) From one end run a 6 lane plain road across the bridge in short lengths, connecting until
you reach the edit area limit at the main supports. Use the page up/down keys to raise/lower
the hgt in 3m increments until the base of the road is flush with the heavy upper sidebeams.
This is necessary, otherwise the road will try to build a suspension bridge at greater spans.
4.) Take custom snapshots for the thumb, tooltip and menu. (In the editor, there are buttons
for this)
5.) Save the asset. Before finalizing the save, rename in the asset name slot with the added tag
"w/6 lane road" to differentiate from the original. Choose the custom images you took in the
editor for the thumb, tooltip and menu pics. Save.

Helps to flatten the underwater terrain beneath the bridge to aid in placement.

An After Dark update with nice night lights like the game's standard bridge has would make the bridge look awesome.

@jamaica7777 it is not impossible. I have both road and rail on my bridge and it looks awesome.
Make sure you have subscribed to the no pillars mod and you'll just have to muck around a bit till yo figure out how to do it. Hint: do little sections at a time.

It is impossible to build a rail or road on this bridge. I tried several times. The problem is in the mid of the bridge, you can build from two sides but it is impossible to connect two parts right in den middle, there are coulpe oif inches missing that are unbreakable. Additionaly the bridge could not be removed / wrecked?

ok dude i had a look and i saw one guy he made a road on it (avenue) with floating mod and i only tried with highway floating so i ll try with avenue as well ... sorry for the comment

you can't does not mean i can't. Its not exactly easy to get a strait bridge at first try but judging from screenshoots in the community hub i am not the only one using my bridge with roads on it.

you should put the foot print or something like this at the side of the bridge

Bridges crashes game to desktop. This happens with all bridges when you click around to find a place in the water. Not immediately but eventually it happens .

probably.. can't say if i will manage that.

Please rebuild with new patch.
