is this scary maps

My only peeve is that the starting bit is SOOOO BIG that I never found the pistol, so I had ammo for a gun I couldn't find.

In hindsight, I should had guessed that crossing a bridge was progress to the game.

CS is pretty cheap if ur poor. Just get it on sale and you should be good.

Will there be a part 2? This is one of the best Silent Hill gmod maps I've played.

if you ever get back into making maps, you've still got time to drop part 2 of this on the anniversary of the original.

no jumpscares in the vents, sensible ammo spots and varied locations. it's a bit old but its still a really good one.

You are a great map designer, I barely got lost, the sound design was keeping me on edge the whole time, the deteriorating environment made me think that everything was just gonna get worse and worse, and seeing the end gave Me great satisfaction, even the combat wasn't all that bad which is good for a horror map which only uses hl2 zombies, 10/10

Amazing map, it gave me silent hill chills and no screams or something cheap like that i like it.
By the way when is part 2 going to release i`m really excited.
and one more thing i almost forgot please add more scary sounds and if u can ad some silent hill music it would be perfect

You could next try making a sandbox or roleplay like version of some silent hill themed stuff, and maybe try adding own textures, where things look little darker and rusty and bloody if you can. That would be awesome.

Make a sandbox version without any triggers.

That map was huge and kinda trackless. I somehow didn't get lost at any point, even with the keys.

If you mean the bottom of that extremely long pit, then no, it's supposed to teleport you to someplace else, unless you happened to die right at the bottom

You can always clear the npcs from the map by typing: "ent_remove_all npc_zombie" in the console lol

I love this map so much. I really do. But I don't like how many zombies there are that spawn outside and inside the building you have to venture into (Sorta kills this map's creepyness feel for me).Would it be any trouble to make like a "No NPC" version of this map? Thanks.

This was awesome! I remember walking into the room with the grate ceilings and floor and i'm like :This guy fucking killed it!" (In a good way ) great job brother this was awesome!!!
only complaint was my frame rate. I imagine the map is huge an does have alot of props but I think using some optimization techniques may fix alot of it. P.S. the arena room was fucking amazing

Holy...Okay-just finished the map and...wow-where do I even start. The beginning wasn't too creepy & roaming around town, I felt fricking lost, so that was great...that wasn't sarcasm, either. I get to the hospital and every little noise makes me want to shoot up through the roof on a mountain o' BRICKS. It was absolutely FANTASTIC. Overall, I think you really captured the essence of Silent Hill and I can't wait for part two.

Had real fun playing it, you've got Brookhaven pretty well, and I even thought for a sec before entering the mirror room, hehe.

I'm in a bit of a split decision of wether or not I like this map.
I do like horror maps, but I hate bugs that crash my game when I respawn.
However, I'm still gonna try this map and see how things go.
So I'm ready to, shut up, and go for it

This is a very good horror map because the silence makes every sound feel 10 times scarier and it is the most atmospheric horror game I have ever played and the best too. ;)

THis is roleplay or COOPERATIVE map?

I have played a lot of horror gmod maps but this is the only one that actually made me feel scared. I have noticed a MAJOR difference between this map and the others: 95% of the ambiance is just dead silence. This makes a significant when it comes to jumpscares; in most horror maps, the abiance is almost constant so the only way to make you jump is with some screaming stalker or something. But wen the abiance is silent, each occasional bump or creek is 10 times scarier without having to scream in your face. A screamer (with constant abiance) is only scary for a second, but a quiet bump after a long period of absolute silence followed by a long period absolute silence puts you on edge for way longer than a second. I really wish there were more horror maps like this; no screamers and barely any ambiant sounds because that makes a WORLD of difference. Good job man, you've finally cracked the gmod horror code!

The fog could be reduced somewhat, but you really nail the atmosphere of the dark world Silent Hill. Looking forward to the sequel.
