the highlight u get for doing actions such as laying pipes, roads, zoneing keeps derpeing out with this enabled. and the diferent tabs for selecting diferent road types dont all work with this enabled. disableing this mod everything works fine again. unfortunitly was a realy handy mod :(
the degrees disappear when using them together.
i know u said that u had some RL busy time , but i still had to ask XD
Thank you :)
there did however surface a new problem with finer road heights , the lenghts keep showing but the degrees disappear when using them together. i will not give up this mod though XD
I love it.
Road Protractor: "Show angles and distances when placing roads, pipes, or power lines."
Precise Engineering: "Adds angle and distance measurements when building roads, train lines, pipes and power lines."
So I actually got it backwards and should have asked why it appears Precise Engineering offers more. If that's not the case an *both* offer more than they say, the descriptions should actually reflect that.
And furthermore: What *is* the difference, then? And why pick one over the other?
@Simon: They have very similar features.
Precision Engineering is a little better functioning (i.e., it works while paused) at the moment, since this mod was originally just a test to see if it was possible to do and I haven't had time to rewrite it properly yet. Although, the way that my mod handles things allows it to be compatible with more mods.
If you're more interested in seeing graphically what angles are being measured, go try it out!
If not, stick around. I will be updating again once thing settle back down a bit.
@Jason_c_o : Precision Engineering applies to roads, highways, power lines, tunnels, and pipes. Just like this one does. What do you feel this one effects that PE does not?
@Simon : PE has has all the same features, it works while paused, better graphical representation, and it shows all angles not just the starting point. Try it and see if you like it. Just make sure you don't have both active at the same time!
i dont like the other mod , this one is all u need.
