Donkey Kong country actually had a sort of play on the banana wars. But I ask, who wouldn't in the age of imperialism try to take all the bananas? Back then, you weren't at the grown up table if you didn't bully for something.

The banana wars are where we get the term "Banana Republic" from, incidentally.

I like the idea. If citrus can be a luxury, why not bananas?

Out of curiosity, could you include a food resource to replace bananas? Something like... coconuts, for example, or cassava. Because as you explained in the description, in the vanilla game an experienced player would often leave bananas undeveloped for the science bonus: if there was a tropical jungle food resource to replace bananas, that'd be awesome. Just a suggestion!

This is not a comment on the mod per se so no one should read this and think there is some kind of problem.

I am sometimes a bit dislexic. When I first read the mod name I thought it said "Banned Are Now Luxuries" and I thought " what....what...??? mikeburnfire has lost his mind!" Turns out it was me. :)
