so some modders left .. thats war for you , theres always gonna be casualtys in a war, but to be honnest i kinda was more annoyed that steam was getting a slice of the profit pie for doing 0% of the work otherwise i was in support of modders getting money i guess valve was like .. well if we cant get any money for nothing then modders cant either .. so either way its valves fault :P

@McGubbins, The filthy N'wah Stuff it. It wasn't the low price the mods, it was the idea that Valve made mods cost money in the first place. Mods are exactly what they are, modifications, they aren't a whole new game. So they should be free. I understand that mod creators should get money for mods that were worked really hard on. Like Falskaar or something.

As for TF2, it's TF2, what do you expect?

If someone wanna put a charge for his stuff I've no problem with that (as long it good quality pro stuff like the game itself) The issue is more that a good part of the gaming community is a bunch of wellfare asses with no money who let others pay for thier living so then that really explain all this issue. so live with cheap freebees

To those in charge of the paid mods system, simply add a donate option. This will allow content creators to make a profit and allow valve to take a cut as well. So same system, but make paying optional and allow us to pay more if we feel the mod is worth it. This will be a better way to show which mods are amazing; with the system that was just romeved, if we paid a lot for a mod that turned out bad we'd be more inclined to give a high rating to convince ourselves that it was worth what was paid. But if it's instead a donate option we pay what we feel its worth and don't feel betrayed if it's a poorly made or vastly incompatible mod causing us to sacrifice many mods we love.
