@Skynet Because that allows people to put little work into a mod (such as create a shitty modeled, retextured swords and sell them for money) and get away with your money. I get it if modders need money, and the best Valve could do is add a sort of "tip jar" for the modders.

Payed mods should be allowed for modder to make, first of all you don't have to get payed mods, you can just stick to the free ones, however valve should keep very little to no profit from these. Some mod devs deserve a few dollars for the hard work they put into making them and if you dont want to pay them that is ok to, nobody is forcing you to buy a paid mod so i dont see what the problem is.

basicaly; people should be able to make paid mods, nobody is forcing you to buy them.

@Dragon Cameron The reason why I do not support paid mods is because mods are supposed to be free, fun user-created mods that are made by game enthusiasts to improve and enrich the community's (and their) gaming experience. Gamers should be able to choose to donate to modders. I believe that modding is not a full time job, but a fun hobby. I also think that if modders want to make money off their works, they should start a development company or join one. Anyway, paid mods are gone so...

People are way too pissy about making a few more worked-on mods payable. It was, what, 10 mods? Maybe a hundred? There are 25,331 mods. 100/25331. So 25,231 are free, minimum.
QUIT WHINING!
You're just being hypocritical, greedy bastards. You're calling Valve money-grubbing, but you're the ones wanting to keep your damn money. Valve just puts out something for modders to GET somewhere, and you're the ones holding them back by not letting people donate to them.
