This is beautiful ! Especially with my chrome Interceptor that you can get by finding some Easter Eggs in the Lost of Echoes campaign, there's a video tutorial on YT go check it out !

love this track, awesome to drive through. but the LAG! please revamp for performance as even on low settings with a beefy PC this map runs slow for me.

Really nice track design. Enjoyed it, but it's nearly unplayable on my system on lowest settings @ 1920x1080, while other tracks run at 60 fps with 5760x1080 on medium settings. (Phenom II x6 1090t @ 3.9ghz + R9 290x).
Maybe use less lights?

schon wieder das selbe... mein pc tut gar nichts das Spiel kommt dich über 12 Bilder. wieder ein unglaubliches Level schön schnell schwer... perfekt. nur das Spiel kommt nicht mit, Level ist zu viel für das Spiel. liegt nicht am pc, sondern am Spiel wenn es bei euch laggt. aber sonst ein wunderschönes Level. 123 von 10 !!!

Hi [TGS] FlatoutDude , thank's for your report, the "UNITY 5" version of "Distance" has undergone many changes in its coding. I prefer to use a stable version of the game for the majority of people can play without too many problems. I am aware of the very troublesome problem but, as soon as the stable release "Unity 5" of "Distance" will be released, I can fix this problem. Sorry I can not do anything for the moment. But what is certain is that with the version "Unity 5", all our creations have gameplay troubles. We must all adapt to this new version of the game.

Hi 794 , I try to solve the FPS problem right now, but this is still difficult to achieve because the lights are part of the gameplay. If the operation becomes a real headache for me, I see myself obliged erase this level to publish a new version with no lag.

Flashy lights and things are nice and all, but 15fps isn't very fun. i7-4930k and SLI GTX 780s.

Echoing JTrevail, the level maxes out my GTX 970 SC with i5-4670K. Getting 13fps. Sadly unplayable for me. Screenshots are nice though :pdsmile:

Brand new machines with the latest hardware all have framerate issues with this level. If GTX 980 and GTX 970M chips can't handle it, it is no fault of their own.

Usually, I run this game pretty well (Just under default settings, 70+fps). Loaded in and was instantly down to like 30.
Having said that, the track is absolutely gorgeous. Will crank down settings and play again.

Merci Ryugan777 pour ces 5 belles étoiles qui me montrent à quel point tu as apprécié ce niveau. Te souviens-tu à quel endroit tu passes à travers la piste et quelle action tu faisais ? (rouler, bouster, voler, atterrir, décoler, sauter...)
Cela me permettra de découvrir pourquoi tu passes à travers et corriger ainsi le problème.

I know it's frustrating and even troublesome when Framerate can get low on some computers. This level and "Purple Track Level 4" allowed me to discover which objects in large quantities are causing slowdowns.

I announce already that I realize right now "End Of Time 2" which normally will not suffer from slowdown and offer more obstacles to overcome (as it is asked :ilike: ).

Using a GTX760 on 1080p with the graphics settings all the way up. Shooting from the hip, I'm guessing I got 15-20 FPS? Didn't play past the start of the track.

PS: petite faille ou tomber hors de la piste vous fait aller dans l'espace, rendant un retour sur la piste difficile.

Sure it drops framerates left and right but I've got a decent machine so I can handle it. And you know what? 30 FPS in exchange for one of the most beautiful and fun tracks I've ever played in distance is worth it. I played it twice and then let my brother play it. He immediately went out and bought distance just due to how cool this level was. So rock on sir, you're doing a fantastic job.

Gorgeous level, but "Older machines" my @ss, GTX 980, i7 5930K, 32 GB RAM DDR4, and this averages about 30 fps. I love levels with that "disco" feel to them, I really love this level, but it's horribly optimized. Part of being a good level designer is knowing the limitations of the engine, and this level here it's too saturated for it to handle.

Have an old PC. i7-4790k, GTX980, 16Gb Ram running on a SSD.
Game normaly runs ~90fps@1440p, everything maxed out+fxaa3.
On this beutiful map i get sometimes down to 10 fps xD

In my opionion this map has to many objects, therefore a lot of drawcalls,
so i'm sure my CPU limits the fps. I believe that by implenting DX12 this
limit/fps drop would be solved, hope the developer have that in mind : )

First of all, I would like to apologize to answer only now because I've been busy in another game. I don't expect to have as many comments as may from time. As JTrevail has noticed, I'll have to warn you that this level isn't for all computers. I forgot to specify this in the description of the level, which is not sympathetic to me.

No alleviation will be made because it would make it less attractive level. But do not worry, the next levels are accessible by everybody without any gameplay problems. I wish you all a nice races and a lot of fun in the "Distance" game without forgetting all the other achievements of the community that I invite you to download.

This track shows true mastery of the level editor. However, it has truly ridiculous performance issues. I'm not sure what to say. I turned down all of my graphical settings, on my beast of a PC, and I was able to get ~30 FPS and play it. It's incredibly pretty even with the settings turned down, though. Ignoring the performance issues, stellar job.

What I would say is that if you added more places in which the player needed to jump and/or spin to land on a platform in addition to the obstacles you have now that would make a more challenging and satisfying level, but it was still an amazing track, I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Yeah, custom 3D models will really help, and I guess my point is that a better target until that is a reality is for levels to run on mid level cards from 2 or 3 years ago. My machine is brand new, and it stutters through the first half of the level before it is even playable. By the time Distance moves to Direct X 11, Unity 5, and is further optimized, this level might play alright.

It is a really nice looking level, but I would suggest a warning in the description, people need to know that it won't run on a current mid-range PC.

I totally agree with you on the fact that there has beautiful levels that require less resources. I myself would very much like "Purple Track Level 4" and "End Of Time" can run on less powerful computers. But what is certain, the day when I can import my own 3D models in the Distance editor, the necessary resources will grandemant lower because only one model will not be composed of 120 cubic but one polygonal shape such as buildings.

The next level I realize now for 2 weeks, it's Paris. I have modeled the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe and Notre Dame. I still have the Louvre, Place de la Concorde, the Champs Elysées ... many monuments and historical places of Paris to model. But I am afraid that once again, only the powerful computers can play this level!

I'll also have liked in the editor bar indicator resources do not exceed for the proper functioning of the level on all computers.

There is no reason that a machine with an i7 processor and a GTX 970M should struggle with distance; I'm not sure what configuration this level would run well on. There are plenty of levels out there that run perfectly smoothly and look incredible.

If this is actually a great level, I would suggest working on it so that people can actually play it. I would love to know what your machine is made of.
