This map would be the best map for the new flying scoutsman mode in workshop, if removing some unneeded clips.

Beautiful map,I took some screenshots for my new skin on this map,hope you don't mind! I only wish Valve would raise the 2.0MB limit per picture for workshop items,I would love to have taken the pictures in high detail to show off what it actually is.

Hopefully Valve will start adding AR and Demolition maps into operations eventually, would certainly bring more attention to the mode too

Map came a long way since it was released in the Workshop. It looks fun, but it's sad to see such a good map not make it into game because of AR. I guess you'll be first pick if you keep working on it and they decided to add more AR maps.

Played it today with bots for four rounds and totally enjoyed it all along! Great gunplay and FLOW! Beautiful architecture adn setting! Loveit!

Thank you for some nice suggestions, I'll write those down. The map doesnt actually take place in a village, but rather a "rekketun" as it's called in norwegian. Basically its an old traditional way of arranging farm-buildings here in Norway, you see it a lot on older farms

@Ashton ah, then that might have been my fog of view limit playing tricks on me :) TO me frank I was a bit concentrated on dodging bullets while doing osme sightseeing :)


Ideas for cover: pickup truck ready to unload wood, tree stumps.


Perhaps one of two slightly more cosy cabins, with chairs and a fireplace for example? Also, for being locate don a fjord, there is a distinct lack of fish in the "village" :)


Just throwing some ideas at you - of course you already demonstrated you don't really need any input do to great stuff, but I thought I'd throw them in anyway :)

I forgot to say but I see some textures that are not finished XD in your map. Maybe you thought. "Fuck that shit, I'm a Norvegian Guy and that's how we do it in Norway". And as some others say. It's a bit repetitive map. "try to add some more stuff (different houses, trucks, etc.) and it shall be more fun to play. aplus

Actually, there is no water at all as I havent started on the 3D skybox yet. It's my next task though, hopefully it'll end up good! I'll see what I can do about some cover, i've been tinkering with some ideas personally actually.

Pretty good stuff! A couple of comments:

you should make the water level at the bottom of the cliff a bit higher - right now it's barely visible and that makes the cliff look a bit... unfinished. It's too bad, the concept is great.


Maybe add a little more "ruble" outside to make progressing from house to house a bit more interesting. Right now it's a bit too much like trench wars for my taste, needs a tad more cover!
