Well, that's why I put them in the water menu, they are placeable anywhere for me, however, it appears that if you have this mod:

They are not placeable anywhere, you cant place them on reads :(.

How: Open the file with something like HxD, search for the text string m_placementMode.
It will highlite the values on the left, directly after the highlight you will see 00 in your file, change it to 04 as you can see here: http://i.imgur.com/VYqFyZP.jpg

But... have you considered putting them in the parks menu? You can hexedit the files to change the m_placementMode so they plop anywhere like the water towers, its what I did with my UK roundabout sign

This ones for the UK (RHD) but there is a LHD available as well.

About the pavement. No, you can't. A little trick is with NoPillars mods enable "Overlap" mode and you can do it. By the way, signals cannot be placed on More Street Roads mod.

Another useful signs:
- Crosswalk danger
- Highway signs (entrance and exit)

You should add more signs and maybe from other countries as well would be cool.

Hi Neal, you mean the chevron sign and the left arrow? I will have a go later this week with a few more I was planning.

You should be able to place them anywhere including the pavement (see pic 3). You can even place them in the road lol. Only place you can't is bridges, they just fall through.

These are great! But I can't get them on the roadside pavement! I can only place them in the grass off the road side. Anyways can we get a roundabout sign like these: http://s0.geograph.org.uk/photos/47/85/478583_9d3ea090.jpg
Then it doesn't matter if it is placed off the road because they will always be on the grass anyway! ;)
