are you almost done fixing the birch nutter glich, cause if so can you make the glich a option or another mod so that people could run into the forest to distract giants or try to kill them, I haven't tried it but I think that would be cool, like birchnutter forests

A small issue with this mod... the dust_fx thing seems to finally be fixed but now birchnutters seem to spawn all over the place wherever there are birchnut trees! It's hilarious but loud...

I like it! The trees get in the the view at the really big sizes but it's a nice visual mod!

Unfortunately, the prior comment was correct, and anim/dust_fx is still causing a crash several months later. Too bad, too, I liked this mod. :(

Info for the mod's dev: Anim/dust_fx was removed in one of DST's updates, which causes crashing with your mod. Thought I would let you know

it would be cool if the bigger trees would do random damage around when chopped!

I noticed that this mod is not compatible with the stumps grow mod....

I'm noticing some of the trees aren't dropping the loot they should.
I chopped down a massive and only got 3 logs.
The coding seems fine so I'm very puzzled.

Possibly update issue?

@Lemodile - I think it is 5 more chops/level, but the bigger trees have more loot as well.

Do the bigger trees take more swings to chop down? If yes, how exactly does this scale?

@motokosworld - They need time to grow, and it is compatible.

Does it need some time that the trees grow taller or is it also from startup? And is the mod compatible with the wilderness respawn mod?

If it were from first person point of view it would be fine, however the game is 3rd person/birds eye view. This makes combat quite frustrating actually. However i understand your goals so it's all good.

@TheDeadDude - Sorry man, but that is kind of the point. To make the forest more "foresty".

Can you reduce the max size of birch trees a bit? I know it's realistic but it hinders players from seeing what they are doing when passing through them.

@TheDeadDude, @Melt for Me - The big ones drop two birchnuts in autumn. Best to be chopping then. I kept the drop low because it is a food source. There may be a new tree food source coming soon to one of my other mods. ;)

Yep, please add more birchnut drops. Nice mod.

I've seen a mod like this in don't starve for pine trees but never birch trees. It makes sense too and gives way more lumber which is nice. One problem with brich trees is they don't drop enough seeds. The RoG cooking recipe trail mix is really nice for hp/sanity but you will turn birchnut forests extinct at the rate those birchnuts drop.

Does this mod make Birch nut trees spawn?

I enjoy this mod and havent had a crashed yet since the moment is was released. This is coming from a guy with 20 other mods attached. Are you people using ROG together? Thats essential obviously.

i think you need to redo this mod a tiny bit to stop crashes ( i dun use rog or this mod) but i saw it or they are not using ROG

@framzmertn, @Honeybanker - Do you know how to look in the log for errors? It does not crash for me so knowing the error would help greatly.

@framzmertn - I haven't had anyone else complain of crashing, which leads me to believe this is a compatibility issue. Have you tried running the mod by itself?

when enabling the mod and after applying, the game doesn't react to anything (had to close it over the taskbar) and after starting the game again, the mod was disabled and it said 'disabled because it crashed after last start'. Tried enabling a second time, same as before.

What exactly is this?
