I like to think of myself as, pretty decent at coding, but I cannot for the life of me get the announcement to stop. I delete the line and then it just doesn't appear in the buy menu. Nomad, I don't use that feature for GMOD servers considering the steam workshop is shaky and isn't always reliable. I have fall-back methods. I'd suggest just extracting the addon's you want and place them into your addons folder or the respectable directories. I honestly have not used that feature for a GMOD server, considering if the workshop were to be down while a player is connecting then the player wouldn't be able to download the required workshop addons and said addons could not be mounted client side. The player would receive errors and missing textures for the said addons, unless you have FastDL setup. Which is a completely 'nother can of worms, if you don't know what you're doing.

Alright, so I'm kinda a noob at Gmod servers atm, I just made a dedicated one for my friends and I like yesterday. When I go into the files of the server, and into LUA, then weapons, I can not find the T defib files. How do I get to them? I put addons onto my server by adding them to a collection, and telling the server to use those and so forth.

@Nomad, Go into the addon's folder. Then into lua then weapons so it should look like this: "Traitor Defibrillator\lua\weapons". Open up: weapon_ttt_defib_traitor.lua. Go to line 241-243(about all the way down), find this code:

end
Either delete it or comment it out. And It will no longer announce revived players.

How do you turn off the announcement someone has been brought back as a traitor?

like the idea but isnt this like immensly overpowered? if you had 2 traitors, both buy a knife and this you suddenly have 4 and the innocent should stand no chance
