Even just in the flat base format? I think that makes it easier to play with the ability for movement templates to just overlap

the issue is not the ship models is the sharing of the models in a format that the game will import them. I made a few ships but they are too big for the free file sharing sites

How difficult is it to make the ships? The other STAW entry has a bunch of cards done but almost no ship bases.
