IlMatteo, jumping on what @old man Slak3r said, if you reset the iron warship to replace the caravel instead of the privateer (maybe with the prize ships promotion) that would alleviate that issue. I tried to do it myself with Modbuddy but for some reason it completely hosed House Greyjoy.

@old man Slak3r: Yeah it's weird because all the ship units are mostly lame and useless up until the renaissance era. In the scenarios the techs will be shifted around so it'll be available in the medieval era.

just played as House Greyjoy, I found something that you might find interesting...
The UU Iron Warship replaces the Privateer, which is in the Renaissance era...
Not in or before the Medieval era as is the setting of the mythology for GoT...
Only bring it up as I use a mod which only allows you to advance in tech till that era.

@TheMightyGnome: A reaver is a person who goes reaving. The ships don't actually have a technical name, so I just referred to them as Iron Warships.

Shouldn't the Iron Warship be called a Reaver?

@Painis Cupcake: They aren't really a major enough house to get a civ in my opinion, but I'd consider it further down the line. I've got a lot in queue right now, they'd be quite a while off.

Hmm, what about turning their galleas into a melee unit and giving it the prize ship promotion, coastal raider promotion and + 1 movement promotion, or just giving said promotions to all their melee naval units?

@Techne: Yeah, the spacing for naval unit progression is weird. There isn't really a time-appropriate unit for it to replace.

In the scenarios I'll do my best to better space out the units to appropriate times.

What is dead may never die! Looks great. My only concern is that waiting for the privateer may not work in games where you stick to say, the medeival era. Perhaps putting the longship in the same tech as the galleas would work?
