This Mod has been around for many years now. Since the "the slammer" update the bookshelves decrease the literacy need a bit by base game, making this mod somewhat obsolet. I want to thank everyone giving feedback and using it for such a long time!

From now on, no more updates to this mod will be done.

it isnt as bad as it seems before i resubscribed they would just sit not furfilling needs now they seem to "sit" but furfill there liturature needs still http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1252388316

I haven't worked on the mod in a while (sorry for that), I tried to figure out what the problem with "sitting" is but I could not find it. Can you please explain? :S

I think this mod somehow stops my prisoners from changing clothes. I deactivated it and all of them immediately did it. You might wanna look into that.

Bookshelves have to be filled with books first before they can be used.
- Prisoners use the books so they have to sorted again after reading.

Sorry I was busy for some time now and have not played in a long time.

The problem with prisoners not eating should be FIXED now. Please inform me if it is still happening for you.

As of now, this mod will entirely break your kitchen AI! Cooks will not cook enough/any food at all, everyone will starve.

Also, a couple of bugs. I've noticed that when using bookshelves, the prisoners tend to 'spasm'. doesnt affect gameplay, just looks bad. also, the prisoners stand INSIDE the bookshelf, not the square in front of it.

A suggestion, make the prisoners use bookshelves to relieve spirituality need if no prayer mat is availible, and if both are availible prisoners prioritize prayer mat (prayer mats reduce spirituality substantially faster)

Only if it was very minor. I think that if they offer too many benefits it would make them over-powered and negatively impact game-play. Or if there was a minor penalty to something else so at least there is a trade-off.
