what would it take to build an energy weapon that was both a pulse cannon and a laser cannon using the same concept?

Could there be some sort of charging sound so we can tell when its ready to fire again?

Also ColOddball27, you can put the pulse lasers side by side, the offset is just so the lasers from 2 stacks will occupy the same space.

Finally got to test it, and while it blends together horribly when used as intended, the sound is pretty cool. Whatever you did to create the trails is great as well, very intimidating when just barely misses you! Cooldown is perfect, if someone brings this to your station, you're toast.

6 Barrels long, goes through light armor like paper and can penetrate 2 layeres of Heavy armor

ok I think we can all agree Red Eclipse is a Spam gunning moron that should stick to fighters and leaft the capitol ships to the big boys... still would like more details on this weapon and if it needs ammo too I'm lookin for Energy weapons that use NO ammo but also ballanced by being expensive to maintain also an energy shield along the same limits.

4 or 5 seconds for a weapon that chops battleships in half sounds horrifying.

The reload time is way too long, you need to shorten it to about 4 or 5 seconds. Almost useless the way it is now.

Just finished testing the weapon. The concept is interesting and appealing. It's just a little difficult to destinguish the front of the guns itselfe at first. The sound is interesting, but having multiple guns shooting simultaniously blasts way to loud. May need some adjusting. The damage is good, but the projectile speed is a little slow for a puls. Other than that, a fine mod indeed.

Made a row of these, 40 blocks long, 20 blocks wide.

Cut my biggest battleship in half. Down the middle.

10/10 would laugh manically again.

I've got three of these badboys on my main ship. I love how the blasts eat through armor. It doesn't have an AOE which is nice for once(been using A better arsenal for lack of better powerful large ship weapons). I don't have any complaints except for the fact I wished the weapon's round moved quicker. Honestly the design of the weapon looks like a rail almost when two are put together like in the image. It would be nice if the barrel length also increased the speed of the charge as it built up it's destructive intensity and speed the longer it passed down the barrel length. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part. Either way I love the mod and it's design. Great work.

Ok this is a pretty awesome mod once you get the hang of it (which took me an hour) Essentially the damage is stackable because the beam originate BELOW the block just enough to avoid interation with the blocks in front of it...but it WILL interact with blocks below it. This mod is simply awesome, I love the sound effect, and the beam color and length...but I confess I would LOVE a version that fires considerably faster.

dont worry Darth you will figure out how to make the mass driver work great P.S. can i have some help be cause first i had ALOT of compaciters then relized they were battries and then had a LONG cannon barrel and it still did almost nothing so what am i doing wrong?

Very Nice mod, had to mess with it to figure out how to set it up blew up in my face a few times but after all that its a very nice mod that makes a very cool sound.

So longer barrel equals more damage? Is there a set limit for the barrel length before the damage doesn't go up any higher?

Clever idea how to make power dependable on barrel length) Sad that this won't work in my case...
