Starship Troops Board game has some really awesome figures that you can recolor and size up for risk. Find the board game on the workshop.

Quite unfortunate about the models, otherwise, fantastic Mod!

Sorry folks I'm not really looking after it anymore as assets drop so frequently. I reckon to try another board for the tokens. I've no 3d modeling skills at all.
Link for tokens is dead.
Draq 2017
Hi, how can I get the figurines model please ? Your Risk version looks awesome and I want to play it properly, the link for it isn't working :/

@Lord Shiroe - the Alliance board is used to track alliances. All factions have a token so they should be placed on the board when alliances are made and as all alliances should be limited. The cap cards are used like the star cards for risk legacy. Basically you take those when no territory you own are available to take.

@sidmay - unfortunately I made this a good whole ago and I don't have the source files anymore. Sorry dude
Fishi 2016
Also, how should i use the cap cards?
Fishi 2016
I am able to understand most of the rules here, but i'm wondering what the function of the alliance board is? i have seen an event that lowers the timer for an alliance so i was curious as to how this comes into play.

Greetings. Tell me please, do you have a copy of cards for this game? My friends and I would like to translate it into another language, what would players do not speak English can also play. And I hope you do not mind this idea.

Hey man, thanks for the great board. My group isnt the smartest, so we played with some simple rules, but hell if we didnt play for 8 hours straight. It was great fun man and good work on the board. +1 for OP.

Thank you very much! :steamhappy:

...and I updated the main text as I hadn't really answered your question. You just draw 1 card each player. That's your starting territory. Then the cards are shuffled back into the territory deck :)
...This means that some territories will be worth more in later games as the bottle cap points count towards reinforcement values.

Finally the event cards are played only when a new territory card is drawn and its bottle cap value is an even number eg. 2, 4, 6. The event is played immediately and then put the discard pile.

If you need me to run through a demo just hit me up when I'm online and I will do my best to help :)

Alrighty!

So you have a territory deck to the right. Each card in the deck has a bottle cap value. Draw 6 territory cards at random and swap them with their 2 bottle star card equivalents at the bottom of the board. Shuffle the territory deck and put them back into their place. The rest of the cards (at the bottom of the board) aren't used except at the start of the next game in which you do the same - 6 random cards and +1 their value in bottle caps. So if it had 2 bottle caps switch it with the 3 bottle cap card equivalent.

Draw 4 of the cards from the territory deck in the slots for them on the side board. When you gain a territory on your turn, you can draw a card from here IF you own the territory and if not you draw a bottle cap card (non territory), and put the last card (furthest right card) on the side board to the discard pile, shift all the other cards to the right and draw a new territory card for the now empty slot...

can you explain the rules some more?
You can play it the same way if you want. I'm pretty sure every version of Risk comes classic mode. :) You'll just have slightly less 'random' stuff.
It's exactly the same rules as Risk? IMO the legacy guide is conveluted, and doesn't read well if you've never played it. http://www.hasbro.com/common/instruct/risk.pdf these are the classic rules, but I really like this theme.

Hmm. I suppose just some markers for cities similar to Legacy would work well. As far as they're placed, I'd probably do something like let players destroy their own units in a territory to build a city there. 1-3 units equals a level 1-3 city. Maybe limit players to 3 Minors, 2 Majors, and 1 Big city. The advantage, I suppose, is that it's worth reinforcements and you don't have to leave a unit there to have it considered occupied.

Alternatively, you could just add city graphics/markers to the board itself in a semi random fashion to make some areas contestable and sought after.
Cheers for the comment. I didn't really plan on it as Risk Legacy actually evolves over games so your final board is completely unique. It wouldn't really work out so well as this isn't built that way. I could knock up a design for it and add it in an update if its wanted :) Just let me know if you want me too and give me a day or two.

Pretty neat, the board looks like a straight rip from a real game. Question, though; do you plan on adding city tokens at some point? I read over the Legacy rules and those are present there. Only real reason I ask is since the table at the upper right of the board takes Territories/Population in account for reinforcements.
