Let it play for 15 mins, and its one big traffic jam. It's a fine city, but with poor road layout and hierarchies. High ways -> Large road network -> Mediun road sub-network -> Small road sub-sub-network. There's room for improvement :)

good job, but it doesn't actually have curves, and it has dirty industry. you are making the climate change! other than that insignificant fact, it is good.

Either way, thanks for the great savegame. One more wish-list, wish it had a shipping line so I could put down a couple of ports. The only line seems to be in the centre, which of course it's worth putting there. :-)

The traffic is (like for everyone) the problem though. Lots of garbage trucks coming off the highway trying to get around the maze of roads to get into the incineration plants. I'd love to know if you've figured out a solution for this? I've tried providing them a shortcut but it's not helping.

I'm continuing from your map and got it up to 603k as I type. I've tweaked the budgets too so the city is not overspending on things it doesn't need. And also turned off most of the universities as they were empty.
