You can also set an event block to turn beacon off if it's on. Just incase you press button in the 5 seconds window or something.

Still works. It's nice using the new action relays instead of sensors. works fine with round beacon also. I'm guessing it teleports you relative you your global positioning, so maybe set some always visible waypoints far away to line up to if you want to keep ship safe?

it works when not moving I like this mod
trying to teleport with ship result in teleportation inside the beacon making a wonderful explosion is there any way not to teleport inside the beacon I am trying to go to?

Very cool but in multiplayer when i (host) click the button, it teleports me fine both ways. Client doesn't get teleported. When client clicks the button and i'm close to the beacon, i get teleported, client doesn't. Is there a way to fix this?

Not a dedicated server, running the game locally.

Is working great for me. Thank you! Using in single player to quickly get around and test ideas, e.g. Laser Antenna setup. This is extremely helpful.

Lost the files? Couldn't you simply subscribe to your own MOD and get them from the folder?

Tried this on a server.
Attempts to use player teleport make client disconnect from server. Teleportation doesn't occur.
Attempt to use gate made server crash.

I lost the files a long time ago, and have no idea how to update them again, even if i get them back from the mod itself

We've had a glitch recently where clients get teleported then back immediately.

There is a few things that changed in the API, so it certainly need a refresh.

Though the basic of the mod still does it job.

(deleted my two previous messages so I don't spam. ^.^ Sorry.) I replicated both it working, and not working. It seems that the range isn't 100 meters anymore. It's far less. I set a sensor to 10 meters and it ported my ship with out issue. if I set it to 50, it's too far away and doesn't actually port the ship. I'm thinking the Radius is somewhere in the neighberhood of about 30ish meters around the beacon. Maybe less. Not sure if this was intended or if an update somehow made that borked. Or if the 50 meter radius of a sensor isn't actually 50 meters. ^^; sorry for the confusion but at least I got it to work. :P And, got information that may, or may not, be useful.

I am making a Star Trek Mod. Right now, I have a majority of stuff in, but the thought I had a while back was to have a Transporter. The concept was simple; be able to set up a single block that, once triggered, would transport the player to another pad.

Issue is, I have no idea how to write scripts. I can make models, but not scripts.

What I wish to do is use your code to use a sub-object that will have it's own custom model without messing with the stock Beacon. I just want the Transporter to move players, not the Beacon. All I need to know is what is needed to make this work.

If your mod is a large mod that have multiple functions,probably. If it's just another teleport that mainly use my code on a different object, unlikely.

I need to know what you aredoing first and be more specific.

thanks, this is honestly a really awesome mod.
now i got 1 more question, when i was doing a friends only server, only i was able to go through, none of my friends could, we had to use the GATE feature and be all in 1 ship to go through together. is there a way to fix this or?.....

for some reason it was working last night, now everytime i teleport, i hear an extremely rapid beeping noise of the sensor and the game slowly freezes.

This is really cool. Works great as a personal teleporter, but when I tried it with a rather long ship (about 300 meters) it would not teleport it or me inside the ship. Does the whole ship have to fit into the 100 meter sphere around the device?

ZOMG - I just thought of something I'm going to have to try ASAP - you could stick one of these things inside an armored drone, then launch it at an enemy ship you wanted to capture and have it trigger when it got close, beaming the entire ship to a holding cell <3

Also, had an idea for when you update - you could have it query a ship for how many blocks are in it (or maybe just query for mass) and then have the gate block draw more power from its power source to send a larger ship.

This mod is great - one question tho: could it be modified to teleport floating objects as well? It'd be nice to be able to use this to send ore from a miner back to a large processing station, but that is currently impossible.

actually thinking about it i would make it only teleport a named ship.. that way no errors can be made..

basically what i mean is when you teleport your arms and legs seem to be left behind and your stretched over the universe, i tried this mod on its own (this mod loaded into a vanila new game) so I know its not interference.

I also have a request for a special, I have looked at the code and can see what I want to change but should i change it and submit it (obviously saying your the original) all I want is a small ship only teleport (not people on their own) and with a very small detection range, oh and i will probably only teleport 1 ship.. (i would like to build a space station with a small ship in a room which is teleported to another space station in the same shape room..the ship is basically just a teleportation Pod.. this would keep it clean and simple to move people around platforms without breaking arms and legs and not allow anything else....

breaks legs and arms with new AVI's which is a real shame.. can this be fixed ?
