Some APCs are designed as both IFVs and APCs, but some are only armored infantry transport. APCs with autocannons, grenade launchers and other anti-infantry weapons can be considered IFVs. Some IFVs don't have troop carrying capacity, and thus don't classify as an APC.

actually an ifv is an apc since it carries soldiers, an apc is an armored pesonel carrier and an ifv is an infantry fighting vehicle. an apc has guns mounted on it and yes neutron it can blow holes in you and cut you in half (the bullets it fires are high caliber)

To be more accurate it isnt APC but IFV.

OF course it is a gun if the thing is pointed at you it has the same effect as any other gun... you shit your pants and hope it isn't loaded

Basically it serves as a gun (or guns) that walks and carries infantry.
