(Please do one more ;-))
The most annoying for me is the scaling enemies and respawn rate. Fights aren't hard but man - 1k hp snakes? It's looong and boooring fights that's it. 4-5 frost elementals spawned in the Maze of Wisdom after boss fight took much much more time than boss itself coz their hp was absourdly high as well as their ~150 damage hits from frost spikes. Those fights aren't hard but just boring kiting mostly. Maybe that's just coz of hard difficulty but still the thing that's lowering overall enjoyment.
How do I figure out the pillar with the four buttons surrounded by spike traps in the SE elemental dungeon? I don't think I've seen a hint for it. I had to use a solution posted earlier in this thread.
I'm completely stumped on the Emperor's Journey. Entering the first teleport always takes me to the same spot. I'd just like a spoiler on this please.
I'm wondering if you're still answering questions? There is a key in the swamp underground I can't seem to find. It's across a bridge and blocked by a door. You can go under the bridge in the water, but I can't figure out how to open that door. It's a few tiles SW of the blue crystal. Thank you.

About your question I want to recall that there were just additions to the game in order to have some items to put/throw in pressure plates, but nothing special at all with them; sorry! :D
I am at lost Forest and need to get the Green and Blue Gems (have the Red one) for the Green Gem I've read I need to match the sounds, can only match the green squelchy one that happens twice, my hearing is badly damaged and its impossible for me to distinguish the other sounds apart :( Have found the secret area at the Green Gem area though, as regards that bit, am I supposed to match them by pressing buttons as they happen? or watch the bolts and then press them, also are the trap doors meant to be closed or open for this?
The Blue Gem I have no idea what to do either, read I need to observe and use leavers and button accordingly, but can not make head nor tail of it, help here would be greatly appreciated to please.
It would be a shame to not be able to finish this great level so close to the end and see what is behind the two big doors.
If anyone stuck on this puzzle too there is the solution: Turn off your light and watch on the shadows and put items on plates where you see "+" .
