Finally a working flat map for cities XL, thanks so much!!

Which is a great shame, because the actual game is brilliant (and still is) just needs an update, not much more really, but i guess commercially it wont make them money or help their business in comparison to other releases

They have given up on the game now and moved onto other games. It would be nice though to have a new version made in an updated engine.

They need to make a new version of the game with updated mods :(

As these custom maps use files from the original maps, eventually you hit a limit on how many custom maps that use the same files you can have in your map folder. From memory the only way around it is to temp move other maps out so you can use the custom map .

Is there a way to increase the number of slots this map gives? Or another work around to essentially have two versions going (double the maps)?

This works fine if you put it in the correct folder, go on
http://xlnation.city/resources/categories/cities-xxl-2015.45/

find the mod you want and put it in the following folder on your PC
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cities XXL\Paks\mods
and you will find it works fine! It took me a bit of figuring out but I got there eventually!

OK! I figured out why The Numbers are differant. The Number of resident depends on the Size of road you are using.

I was using Large Avenue on this map & the # of resident is lower the lager the road.

If You use the standard road it much higher around 650
small avenue would likely be 350
Large Avenue 150

I had already figured the may not allow you to do it but I was not 100%

I playing on this Map now anyways & noticed something strang about it. The size of the city now would normally be nearly 3-5M. I only have 500K. When I place resident the number of resident per square is about 75% lower than what I was getting on the Paris Map. 1 square on this map is only 162 Residents on the Paris that I have a 32M resident 1 square was around 650 Residents. I don't know if it's the map or it's because I have more than 1 city. I may try you your Desert map & see if I get the same results

@Professor197335 The maps can only be 10km x 10km. Even if I made it bigger, the game would shrink the map down to 10km x 10km

I want to set a population Record of 100M. If possible Can you make this map either 25% or 50% bigger

I'm running without mods atm, but this really is soooo tempting.
