I second that, the hat is floating over the hair. Also, since that is the example hair I was wondering how did you manage the wave on the hair on the other side, can you post images of other angles?

nice, good shape. From this angle it looks like the rim texture needs some work, it looks a little flat and plain, could just be the angle though. I would also suggest moving it downwards by like a cm or two, as it seems to be floating above the head a little, try pushing the hair inwards at the top to get it to fit, a real hat would be doing that anyway
