idk what it might be causing it, try disabling conflicting mods for starters

of course it does, after that you should put in the console "quit" and start the game again.

Sound cache rebuild hangs the game (sometimes closes it).

Sound replacement doesn't work. Game closes after very long process of file checking or something.
