My friend and I just did a 1v1 on this map and it was great. I really do think that this is a good map. The little details in this map like the waterfall and the bluish haze really add to the feel of this map.

@ ilco.divendal there have been reports that the A.I. acts a little weird since the latest patch.

For some reason, all the Germans have been firing at the victory point closest to position 2. Don't know why.

Hauken: issue 1, true vision issues ( i can give replay)
Hauken: issue 2, i can mortar the chateu from my base (map to small)
Hauken: issue 3, way to loud waterfall

Ostruppen is incredibly strong in this map, hold the mid and win the game.

On a side note, the map is very gorgeus to look at but its gameplay has to be tweaked.

@Tactical Locust. First of all thx for your feedback. Can you give a more detailed hint on the cover you want to be removed? Like a screenshot.

Very beautiful! I would recommend adding global waypoints to each base, and slightly increasing the area of the mansion VP and clearing out a bit of the cover up against it, my MG42 squads are having trouble firing out of the windows. I don't think you can do anything about this, but I noticed when tanks were firing uphill their shots were disappearing into nowhere.

very interesting and artistic map. although i am not a fan of hills. not your fault of course... with relic's zoom levels, it just hurts my eyes.

This is extremely nitpicky but is there not an option to include the western front music in the map editing tools?

@ O'Field. Thanks for that detailed explanation of the mechanics. BTW I should have mentioned that I am playing with a mod (Spearhead) that gives all units longer ranges and greater accuracy, so it might have exacerbated the Relic hit mechanics problem.

@Fritz_Fraghof. This is rather a game design than AI problem. Ballistic projectiles have 2 ways to hit its target. 1st by a determined hit. This hit will even ignore terrain elevation. The chance for a panther for instance to hit a soldier is about 5%, means 5% of the shots will ignore elevation and always hit (unless real objects block the path). The 2nd way is by scatter. These shots actually miss their target, but impacting near it will still cause damage to target, however terrain elevation will block those scattered shots when they collide with the terrain.

I asbolutely love this map. It seems well-balanced, and the attention to detail is awesome. The hill is a ton of fun to fight over, and while it is a powerful bastion when troops are entrenched there, it isn't so powerful that it seems unfair. This may be my new favorite map.

I guess you are talking about things like ballistic weapons? Tank mainguns, At guns etc?

Beautiful map. Very detailed and finely put together. I only wish the AI was better at coping with elevation. Very often on this map I saw them firing into the big hill, thinking they could hit something.
