It might be out of date. The game seems to have had many updates since I released the mod, so I don't know if the same night vision method still works. I'm not planning on fixing the mod.

Well it does amplify the light a lot. You can see in most dark areas, but not if it's completely pitch black. Just like in real life.

i see so basically it just turn the scope into green color whenever or whatever you see in the scope.

It depends how dark it is. You still can't see anything if there's no light at all.

what if im on a dark bathroom and i use this can i see anything?

It's pretty much in scale with the real world scope. It's just a hugeass '70s era night vision scope that's mounted really far back so you can jam that rubber cup into your eye socket comfortably.

Still the best comment of all time on this mod.
I love the mod, by the way. I was kind of frustrated on certain maps because it was just too dark to use the default scope, and the sniper was all I had.

Try going to Steam\SteamApps\common\Contagion\contagion\addons\ and deleting sniper_nv_sight.vpk

i subscribed, then i got into the game and as expected it was there... I didn't like it so i unsubscribed but the scope is still in the game.. I can't get it off, any idea how or why? :)

Not really, but the real-life version can use IR light. In-game it just amplifies green light.

Unfortunately the magnification level seems to be hardcoded into the game.

Looks like the TF2 Stock sniper, out of proportion and wayyyy too big. I realize that the scope mechanics are different, but this is too big.

Looks like the developers are planning on adding both a SCAR and an EOTech sight to the game, judging by their newest update.

@Yuckyhobgoblin3 Rectus helped me alot with my SCAR mod, it replaces the ar-15 and features an EoTech sight, I'll be releasing it soon if you're interested. (sorry to advertize on your thing Rectus)

I guess it could be, but I tried making it as balanced as possible. It's a lot harder to use in bright areas than th regular scope, and it's pretty bulky so it blocks out a lot of your vision.
