Hey, I tried the fix above and it was unsuccessful. Only just found after that that General Chaos is just gone and the mod now loads with Steam Cloud saved models. Do you know how I could easily replace my game boards I've made with your tileset that were still on the old format of General Chaos? If not, that's totally fine, I'll just rebuild it from the ground up again which I at least have fun doing. Thank you for taking the time to read this!

um why cant I move any pieces I place on the map? once I load them in they become a static object that can't be interacted with and they dont even come up in scripts... I have to assume its broken cus you can click on them in any way

Dang bumping. I've pushed out an update that reduces the scaleX/Y/Z to 0.99
In testing it reduces the bumping without looking too bad. This only affects the items on the workshop. If you already have a save with the bits, you'll need to edit the save file.

Hey, this mod is extremely frustrating to work with. Actually building anything is nearly impossible because the tiles dont lay flat next to each other unless you fiddle with it for ten minutes. It is quite a workout on the wrist just building a set to play on... Is this just me having this issue with the snapping??

If you're loading a prebuilt town/dungeon, resizing the grid won't help. Going into the save file and doing a replace-all on "scaleX": 1.0 to somewhere in the range of 0.95 (and scaleY and scaleZ as well), should achieve non-destructive results.

I was going to say, I don't recall this being an issue when I downloaded this ages ago, so it has to be TTS's fault. Even with a grid size a tiny bit bigger, I still get a lot of issues, but locking the physics down helps tremendously. Frustrating bit is that I can't use it with another mod that gives me gridlines on the table itself, since they're slightly off. But otherwise it's tolerable.

Can probably save your work somehow. Try turning off physics simulation in settings. Could also try editing the save file and scaling down the pieces by some tiny margin so they don't collide on load.

@GeneralChaos It's unfortunately something with the June update of TTS. I had been building a dungeon out of Storm King's Thunder for my campaign and the update actually broke what I built with your models. So it's not anything you caused, at least. That update actually broke our whole campaign...

Hm. They used to fit perfectly, and they did when I ran this up to change hosting to steam cloud but I can see what you mean. I got them to sit nicely by bumping up the grid to 1.02 and reducing the lift height to 0 without massive gaps appearing. You could easily go 1.05 to 1.1 for less collision.
You could also drop in everything you're going to use, select it all then hit - (minus) on the keyboard to shrink it down a notch.

I set my grid size to 1 and set snapping on, but the tiles keep colliding with one another and won't lay flat. What's the best way to fix this?

omg thank you for this. My D&D campaign had to move to TTS thanks to Covid & this is gonna be frickin amazing for building my dungeons. You are the best.

It is actually surprisingly easy as I just learned.

1. Load the mod in TTS

2. Make sure you do a search inside all the bags and load all contents to ensure everything is cached locally.

3. Open Modding/Cloud Manager

4. Choose the black Up Arrow (Upload All Loaded Files)

5. Wait until you receive a message saying "Reloading game to replace all files with Steam Cloud version. Resave this game now"

6. Save Game

7. Load the new Save and voila, all item links updated to use the cloud and all files uploaded to cloud

8. Update Mod in Workshop with new version.

I didn't know until today either. I can still do it but I wager it would be more beneficial if you updated your main files. Let me know what you think.

Could be the bag count was off.. I only noticed because I was missing them and a lot of screenshots in the workshop had a fourway X junction where they should have had the T as well. Anyways I just reloaded it and got everything. TY much.

The files are there, so this could be in reference to the issue where TTS upgraded to a new version of unity back in May that doesn't like URLs that don't start with http:// if you're subscribed to a mod that has this issue, the mod author should follow the steps on their original in the description to update their save file.
And if you're impatient for that, make a save of the item then follow the steps in the description to update it.
Or if there's only a few instances, you could just add in the missing http://

This change was very annoying, because all instances of items are totally unique; once it's in someone else's game it's entirely out of my control to fix properly.

Hey GeneralChaos, had a sewers map that I spent about 10 hours on break because all of the walls were from your mod. Using the steps you provided below I was able to fix it. Thank you so much!

I can't retroactively fix saves for you, but you can. Get ready, there's going to be a few step, but it's pretty easy:
1. Work out the save number(s) in TTS. On the screen where you load saves they'll be numbered, in addition to the description. The number is the filename we'll be looking for in a second, so note them all down.
2. Open your folder browser and go to Documents\My Games\Tabletop Simulator\Saves
3. Right-click on the first affected #.json file, and open with... (# being the save number)
4. Click more apps, then choose Notepad (or better plain text editor, I used Notepad++) - Check the Always Use if you're doing more than one file so you can just double click the.
5. Click Edit > Replace...
6. Find what: "www
7. Replace with: " http://www
8. Click Replace All, then Cancel (don't worry, it doesn't undo it)
9. File> Save (CTRL+S)
10. Close the notepad, try opening the save in TTS
11? If you have more than one save, repeat 3-10

Hello there I'm still having problems with the withe orbs - I unsubscribed and resubscribed to the mod, and when i spawm new models, they work. However all of my old tables (and even friend's tables) using your mod that were built before the update have white orbs everywhere ^^' I checked - this problem is only happening with your mod.

hey i can't load any of the models. they just appear as white spheres. i think it may not be importing correctly. any ideas?

@wileybot I can't reproduce the issue. Does this affect any other workshop items?
If you right-click on an affected piece and ... customize token? And remove the specularity map file... does that get rid of the blackness?

It's related to TTS Beta, all is well in the non beta. For the life of me I am pretty sure I used this mod with no issue it beta in the recent past.
