So you can comment on that 2nd discussion to support the Middle Earth 2 map. It'll be in scenarios - but as well as subscribing, you need to exit the game. Then when restarting the game, before you put your password in, go to 'User Content' and click 'Update'

I subscribe the scenario and when i'm in the game i can't find it anywhere.
Any advise?

ALRIGHT FOLKS. Middle earth2 is no longer supported, it will stay on steam workshop, but in the meantime, Middle Earth 3 with new dlc content is up. If you like the middleearth map and want to stay on, then migrate to the new map! Sorry, but it had to be done, I am not going to keep both maps evolving with different units and items and abilities! :P

halflings exist on this map in hobbiton, I am working on a campaign map that is for werlac as the main hero, when that is done, I will be back to make this one better.

the map is very unbalanaced. I took control of the Sauron's army, and basically won the game with solo Wraith King hero, just leveled him up quickly around Mordor, then captured Gondor Capital, Rohan Capital, Dwarves Capital and Elves Capital - game over. The items he gets are simply too powerful and with high levels he just kills everything with ease with spells or otherwise.. the most problem he got was from blight units, and i think only a one hero on the map caused him any problem, and that was because he had poison attack.

This map is sooooo fine. This and the Europe map are the very best. Please, keep up the superlative work!

I did a play through as the orcs of gundabad but didn't notice any scripted events for anyone. I agree with not having any tier 4 units though it would be nice to know that at the beginning of the map (also i was able to get archon titans from dol guldur :D). I went pure evil but strangely all the evil AIs went good and all the good AIs went evil, this made forming alliances with people like the witchking alittle difficult. Judging from past comments I assume you made the elves theocrats for balancing reasons but I think archdruid would fit their flavor much better. Besides the goblins and witchking took her out with little trouble in my game regardless.
As for scripted events that could center around the fellowship. Maybe Aragorn could recruit the army of the dead and get a bunch of undead units or saruman could finish his uruk-hai army and gift a bunch of orc shock troops to mordor, for examples.

Ah, alrighty then. :P I didn't notice any lag at all, neither did my friend, with a significantly worse computer than I. :o And I dunno about scripted quests. It'd be cool if more happened with getting the One Ring. And I did love hearing my friend yell when suddenly Smaug attacked him. xD

Sauron does not exist as of now, there are no races that that to me can represent him in all his splendor and personally, I think that sauron staying off map as the big bad has a certain appeal to it. As of now the map is somewhat laggy on my comp and I might be cutting out some minor towns or stacks, or even trying to alter the environment a bit. Also, I need some ideas for scripted quests!

Would love to know how to summon Sauron. xD Had the ring since like, turn 3 as the Witch King and can't for the life of me figure out how to get him to spawn.

So, I started another campaign with Gondor and had an easiest beginning. I've got the ring, and Gandalf ! Pushed back the witch king from Osgiliath but I didn't see him in person. IU guess playing with Galadriel is more difficult but with the next expansion it will be possible to have the Lothlorien as vassals for a few turns I imagine and it should make things easier.

Hey Ran_Dom (cool name btw) Erebor does experience a dragon attack, it is a scripted event. The version i am working on now has a few more scripted events in it, but they are buggy as hell, and I am really waiting on the next dlc to make this into a full lotr map like I want it to be.

That being said, the wringwaith summons are independent of hobbiton. I am still working on understanding the timer api, and implementing timers on scripts. Once that is done, the wringwraiths will probably be a turn 3 or turn 5 timer. If any of you want to send me a map with timer scripts implemented so I can actually learn how to use them, I would love that.

Ps, if you could get the triumph game devs to hire me and nemesis as level designers that'd be great :D

Very nice work from you and Nemesis. I played a few turn with Galadriel and it's loads of fun. Two things though : I received the message about the witch king sumoning the wraiths but Rohan has conquered Hobbiton. Does it means that the ring is now in Rohan's possesion ? Is everything lost ? ;-)
Second question : for now Dain is the only one who answered favorably to an alliance but last turn I recieved a friendly peacefull message fom Erebor. It tells their alignement is "absolute good" but I can this damned Smaug's face smiling in the message. And on the map it's clearly his fat red body I can see sitting in Erebor's walls.

Would be cool if you could play like one of the now "independent factions" like Thranduil or The Shire

The altar for the wringwraiths is the structure just to the northwest of the main volcano of mordor.

yes it is possible, if you reupload it just append your name to the authors list, and load it as your own or work with me to have the edits concurrent that way all features get into the map without having two versions.

Mithlond is a gondor city, mostly for balance reasons against the AI. I have found that unless Gondor has a city in the back, they get overrun and then destroyed before aid has a chance of getting to them, especially if mordor actually claims the one ring. There is probably a better way to balance this, but if I decrease mordor's power, mordor gets overrun, If I increase gondors powers, the Haradrim get overrun, and if I decrease the harardrim power, they sit in a corner eating glue and rohan doesn't get an opponent. The only other way I can think of balancing this out is to perhaps give gondor a massive treasure gold boost around turn 30 via a script, or give them troops or some freebie to allow them to survive the mordor onslaught.

Also, gandalf is gondorian for the above reasons. I am thinking of giving him a different affiliation (perhaps with rohan) so that he becomes more of a roamer.

Hey. I played a couple of turns and it looks like a really nice map. I think that theofits very vell for Gondor. I have a question though - why Mithlond is a Gondor's city?

Very fun Mod, makes the whole game worth it. However, there is a bug when attacking the Misty Mountain Goblins inside their cave if they stack up around the cave entrance. The battle won't compute manually or via auto and there is no way to finish the game if playing the elves or another faction not allied with them. Likely, it is a game developer problem, not a mod problem. All in all though great work! P.S. It would be fun if you could start as the Hobits in Hobiton and Bree with Gandalf & Bilbo as a hero leading in to capturing the Lonely Mountain or as the wood elves in Mirkwood. Cheers!!
