@Cedup It's the way how the game works these days. Some mods can be affected more than the others. But generaly speaking few days back there wasn't any issues with randomly slowing down, but after last update it started to affect the gameplay. Can't do anything about that. We need to wait for fix.

Works with DX11, doesn't really have an impact on fps for me, BUT I won't go near 500 m/s. 300-ish yes. Additionally, the max speed randomly changes. Strange.

The FPS drop is more about flaw in game design than in mod itself. Sadly I can't do anything about it.

sadly i must say goodbye to this mod because unless you have a great processor it will limit you to about 20 fps and after 2 hours 11fps

@ashley_mosey sry no the game engine allows it and always did. It was just a limit the devs set to avoid problems with the hit detection. The video you posted has nothing to do with that

the only think is with manny asteroids it comes with a bit fps drop and fast chunk load, but whatever, speedmod with standard skybox BIG THX! :* i love this mod

For some reason it's not true with that half the speed of light. There is still limit to about 1000m/s + few %. Belive me I tried. Other people too with same result :/

@ashley_mosey a few weeks ago we got a patch that gave us more parimeter in the enviroment.sbc, 2 of them are small and large ship maxspeed.
the devs only recommend 500m/s as max speed tho we can set it to half the speed of light (149.896.229m/s)

@Dr.Glickenstine the tecnical term is GPU (= Graphics Processing Unit)
and not gfx card (some people might possibly think that you meant GTX and thats something else

I won't agree with that vid in 100% just because he is doing that on single. On multi things starting behave even weirder. For example during my play with friends we have discovered that person with faster computer is flying faster. So sometimes when there are two players in same ship one see 300m/s and other one see 500m/s. I'm wondering if there would be still over 200m/s in second attempt if someone with faster PC were in that same ship.

Anyway it's not my concern to checking that out. When I'm flying with my mod on max 514m/s I see the difference in speed of asteroids passing by. Maybe it's just illusion. I don't care cos I like the feel of longer acceleration and deceleration :P

Yeap, there is a conflict. When you have skybox and this mod one will be inactive. Mod that is higher on the list will be active :/ I will look into this but I'm no coder so so no promises >.<

I'm sure there is plenty mods for diferent speeds right now just look if you want diferent settings ;P
