found one of these yesterday.
Eager to test out the fighters, first thing I did was claim the carrier itself...
"huh? whats all that booming sounds?- my salvager ship should be safe inside the hangar-?!"

Apparently the missile turrets saw the fighters as hostile ships (they were authorized to shoot at), and blew them all up in their docking bay. Nice antitheft design, if you ask me.

Found this while exploring in survival the other day. Very cool.

Actually, there is one other game some people like to use as a ship class refference, but I think it goes a wee bit over the top, although it does make sense to have sub-divisions of class based on weight, power and weapons. That game is X3, has some pretty great ship builds too.

Thanks Reptavian! That is one thing I am struggling with and have no good refferance source for the classification. Took a look at Homeworlds and will definately take a look at Sins

Well then you might also be interested in looking at the sister game, Sins of a Solar Empire, some great ship builds there too. One think to take note of with Homeworld, the ship classification system VERY much applies here. Manned, unmanned, miner, builder, sattellite, scout, probe, fighter, corvette, frigate, it's all in Homeworld, every type of ship we could possibly make here is described in there. It's my go to source for refferancing what a ship does and how it is classed.

YES, Homeworld style for the WIN! I keep telling people, just look at the ships in Homeworld and build based off that perfection. This ship can help save the galaxy!
