I still have a backup of the original map files, but I wont upload it, purely out of spite. Instead I sent a new improved version to Relic just a few days ago with completely new aesthetics for the map. You're going to love it if you like DoW3s art style.

thanks for the feedback. Were going to look into reuploading the old version. However, we do have to make sure that its not going to be confusing for players if there are multiple maps called "Red Ball Express" with the same minimap and loading screen.

Map updated, Zupadupadude and me have been working on improving the visuals of the map.

Please give us feedback and report any bugs and issues you might encounter.

Known problem: Infantry cant enter the manor in the forest. This bug appears on other maps as well, so this does not seem to be a problem specific to our map.

Zupadupadude and me are going to release a major update to the map "soon™".
Im so impressed by your NIS video that I will just ask right away:

Would you be interested in creating a new trailer for it? I understand that such a project is a ton of work but an updated map requires an updated trailer and were nowhere near as talented as you are in that regard.

Alrighty, so here's a small NIS video I made using this map. I usually do them on my own maps, but this map is so good that I decided to give it a shot... Literally... Anyways, enjoy The Sacred War [www.dropbox.com]!

P.S.: I know that Soviets had nothing to do with Red Ball Express, but fuck it, I prefer them over Yanks. :P Think of it as if it was happening in Poland in 1944, or alternative history, whatever ;)

i think the heights of trees in the forest area are just too high. the forest to me feels so tight but i know that it has a lot of room to maneuver. with default camera angle, the impassable tree groups feel too imposing.

While there are several community versions of the classic Red Ball this one should be considered the 'official' remake IMO. I'm unsubing all others now cause they are simply redundant now.

Browsing through the screenshots... the Chateau looks so pretty. I love the visuals for this game (I only wish I could run it above medium...)
This map, featured on coh2.org , looks to be quite well balanced. I hope they add it into the rotation again.

very good. every single place looks 100% complete. i think this map might be even too good for automatch. this map does not deserve to rub its shoulders with atrocities such as rostov.

No, it's a remake of a community map that was added to the game, it isn't the map from the mission in the vCoH campaign :)
