@Tommi69: should be possible technically, but doesn't really fit the theme of this mod. I will check.

Would it be possible to add a way to ask for maps in a peace treaty ? Or getting them automatically when annexing a capital ?

Good question. Right now the AI is terrible at coordinating or cooperating with its vassals, including in colonization. I'm not sure if this will help or hinder them in the long term. Maybe wait to see how paradox changes the AI behavior in the next few patches, then decide.

@Echo, not now. Should it?
Echo 22 Νοε, 5:52
Yes, I've wanted this from the start. Does the AI use it?

@Abraxicus: yea, I did it this way at first, but the condition there iterates through all areas (any_areas) and as a result a tooltip looks broken. What's more, it started spamming TONS of errors in the error.log.
If I find a way to hide the tooltip / replace it with a custom loc or something else, I will do it.

I think the action should be shown but greyed out/unclickable when no valid/undiscovered maps exist, it'd still be good to know the action exists

@Gliese581, agreed, but why don't we get access to our subjects' explorations automatically like in EU4 in the first place? Considering that currently inland exploration is completely bugged and requires a separate fix.

@Yaru I haven't used it yet but a cost of 1 diplomat seems reasonable given how potentially powerful maps are.

Patch 1.0.1 for Request Subject Maps is now live.

This update introduces necessary functional constraints: the action is now hidden when no valid, undiscovered map areas exist for transfer, and a default minimum Loyalty threshold is now required from the subject to proceed.

The action currently operates instantly and without any cost (even diplomats), like when transfering a province to a subject. What do you guys think about the appropriate balancing cost?
Please provide feedback.

@Abraxicus: Oh, thats a good point. I'll probably just add it as a condition for using the action.

Would a subject decline a request if it was disloyal? I also wonder if a price should be attached, or favors, or if it should be tied to liberty desire
