thx, dedicated pistol slot 2.0 mod doesnt work with open class weapon restriction, "open" doesnt find the eInvSlot_Pistol i guess, or i didnt find out the right slot

@Landar486, I'm uploading a fix for LWOTC issues right now. Dedicated pistol slot is not needed when running LWOTC. There will be a different file to modify when adding custom classes though
@Soul, I tried to do it with "CarryUnit" ability, but unfortunately Dedicated Pistol slot 2.0 only looks through the Class-specyfic abilities, which complicates it greately.
@RambelZambel, I think in LWOTC "sidearm" slot is the "tertiary", usually meant for pistol, at a cost of decreased mobility and increased infiltration time. This update should make it availible for Omni Tools as well.

@rambelZambel I don't know the hook but yeah long war of the chosen gives every class a slot for pistols. there's even an entire row in the class trees specifically for pistol skills. I did successfully add a proficiency class to the class file using an above method at least so far to the secondary. though now it's a choice between said secondary and omni tool which i assume was the intent?

@Puma_The_Great fair doesn't seem as easy as it sound,as for the catchall,I tried looking a bit at what could seem to have done so ,I found Iridar's Autopistol Overhaul that let anyone equip autopistol as long as they can equip a pistol .

Sure its not 100% the same thing as here but maybe a way to let soldiers equip omnitool as long as they can equip any of the main weapons/able to use the dedicated slot could be a way to do it (if possible),tho sadly configs don't show how to do it,maybe asking him would be the way to go.

Dedicated Pistol Slot 2.0 also have a mini guide I'm checking,on multiple ways to allow soldiers to use it,like if they have an ability regardless of the class,maybe theres something here that could be used by all.

@landar,so lowtc has its own dedicated pistol slot? Addtional to the normal sidearm? I just can guess, but maybe it works the same way, just has anothr name. Maybe lock in the lwotc mod how its handled. Maybe you can add the weapon/omni there(in the same way you would with dedicated pistol slot)

i think this mod can be really something cool! though when running long war of the chosen, everyone already has a pistol slot & running the dedicated pistol mod causes a conflict & removes the pistol slot from troops. is there a solution in the pipeline or too much on the plate, which is also fine.

@Soul, If you find a CatchAll way to make it work with every class please tell me how. I gave up after couple of hours of searching for that. When it comes to omni-tool being always visible on soldier It is possible, but not something I intended it to do

Damn look really nice and well made with the upgrades,always loved that thing,nice to see in xcom.

Just wondering (because I don't know a lot about modding in general and it might be a "duh else I would've done it myself" answer moment but who know) is there a "simple" way to make it work for any class via side arm or I'll have to put each class name in the config?

I don't mind doing it but just wondering if there was a "catchall" ligne that could add it as a sidearm to any class in game. (I got like +60 so if I do do it the hard way I'll prob post it in a thread for you to put in it,stuff like knoxx classes and other multiple ones)

Another question (again dunno if even possible/too much of a hassle but might as well ask sorry if it sound dumb) you think this could work like "Visible Utility Items by Iridar" where when you equip it,it show in the armory? Or on the player normally kinda like the skulljack.

no, one of every variant is showing up in the inventar, after starting a new game, i can only build the Bluewire. Maybe I wrote it wrong, and it could be missunderstood. I listed 4 as starting item(one each) and the Bluewire i can build. I can build 4 different upgrades on a new game. EMP , Geth, Incinerator, Medi_Gel Distro. Hope i didnt confuse you.

@RambelZambel, well that should not happen. Debug definetly shouldn't ever show up in the engineering, but maybe it does since I set it's cost at 999 supplies, and it somehow overwrites the bCanBeBuilt=false (?). When it comes to other omni tools they should unlock with the techs assigned to weapon tiers. Do you have any mods installed that change the engineering or progression path of the game?

That sounds like you have all three tiers of Omnitools showing up, even though they shouldn´t. I don´t have the mod installed, because it doesn´t fit my current mod list. Will definitely try it next campaign.

i see, you buy them, overread it, i started with 4 different Omnitools, 1 each. Can only build one version, so i guess the other ones shouldnt be there so early(or at all)?
Savant, Nexus, Debug, Bluewire, and Bluewire i can build. Tried on a new game.

They are buildable in engineering. First tier is available from the start. Tier 2 and 3 after magnetic and plasma weapon research.

looks great, would be even greater with sort of a projectile fx, but you cant have everything, and i dont know how it looks in masseffect.
How are these upgrades obtained?

ME3 multiplayer was AWESOME and I'm sad that it didn't come back when they did the Legendary Edition.

I guarantee you that they could have split off the ME3 Multiplayer as is as it's own thing and it would have made mad money. I know I'd definitely buy it if only for the chance to have Krogan headbutting mosh pits again.
