And so it goes - for every person who wants it one way, someone wants it the other. :) I'll keep that in mind and provide a way (probably a separate patch mod, but possibly a mod option) to keep the original values.

I love this mod, thanks for the update. Please, if you intend to reduce the armors' defence values, could you consider adding a setting to keep the high ones instead? I know the armors are too strong, but I always digged the idea that best medieval armors need to use the skulls of your enemies

(By stats freezing the game I meant the Stats mod, not THIS mod, just to be clear! The name can be confusing.)

Stats can get a bit laggy with a big modlist, can freeze the game for several seconds when loading the apparel tab for the first time lol.

I think the excessive spawning was related to the gear value. Since it is cheap, raid can easily throw tons of it on the pawns.

Quick update:

- Fix shield armor values
- Fix incorrect mass on helmets

Next:

- Full review of armor values
- MarketValue determination
- Verify spawning of equipment isn't excessive (tags seem limited though)

Thanks for the Stats recommendation! Great mod and it will be very useful.

I remember the original had issues with the spawn rates of this gear, it spawned on almost every pawn. Is this still an issue?

Dunno how interested you are in continuing this (as a Medieval Overhaul based version). But here are the things that need fixing.

The shields have no defence values. Might need to look at MO to see how it might be fixed.

All helmets that have 15 mass should be 1.5

Since the gear isn't stuffable, the pieces without a MarketValue are dirt cheap.

Look at what armor is required to craft the base variant of these barbrian armor (like Mail need gambeson/hauberk/heavy hauberk) and adjust their defence value. 1 or 2 skulls shouldn't double an armor defence (tho it also double-ish their weight).

For example:
Steel Heavy Hauberk: 54sharp 27blunt 36heat.
Mail 1: 80s 45b 15h.
Mail 2: 100s 45b 15h
Basically every piece of armor should be nerfed a bit imo.

That was my 2 cents! I suggest the mod Stat to easily crosscheck everything!
