I too prefer the retraining and the whole pop mechanic from RTW and MTW. Alas, that system is not present in shogun.

I dont think it will work in rots, as rots building are coded separately iirc

nice idea.. just a thought though i remember in medieval total war you can retrain your units in a settlement to upgrade their stats. the replenishment system in shogun 2 is convenient but personally i prefer the retraining rather than replenishment.
